The snippets were not from her camp and could have been fake, so no it had no hype there

The full song did NOT leak only the demo leak. Still no hype from Bey's camp. She did not leak the song.

Girls had a banner but that didn't create hype. Hype is something that takes place BEFORE the song hits iTunes.

Judas was hyped long before it was released. It was lauded as "Bad Romance on acid" and even PopJustice reviewed the song. It was found out that Gaga would be playing "Mary Magdalene" before the release too which would create hype and excitement from haters and lovers alike

CG came out of nowhere too when Katy was about to be forgotten, and reached #1 without promo. Don't give me the "Pop single" excuse, every single of Eminem even if it wasn't Pop-friendly reached #1 on iTunes after release, just because of him being EMINEM. Same goes for Britney, who also had no promo when she released HIAM.

Beyonce should be #1 already, even though the song is horrible, just because she is Beyonce.

Single Ladies wasn't released to iTunes until the album came out. The week before the album dropped it was at #22 off of airplay alone.

It's funny how all of those "underwhelming" reviews y'all cling to explicitly state the song is extremely different from the rest of Top 40, yet y'all expect to perform the same when half of her fanbase opts to buy physical albums rather than digital singles. Interesting.
