It's not a big flop. Ev fans aren't going to rush out and buy a single when they know it will be on the album. Unlike most of today's musicians, Ev are ALBUM sellers. The fact that this song didn't catapult onto the charts means NOTHING. They aren't shallow, single-sellers like most popular artists are.

i'm guessing they stayed in NY and didn't go to the VMA's...sadly no one would have known they were there. they could have performed, though. replaced that unknown band :| or did the preshow. did they even get invited? i thought MTV was 100% behind them. ah well. they're too good for the VMA's anyway
The song flopped because the band waited too damn long to release a third album. Everybody expected way more from this song to justify the wait at the very least.
IMO i think it flopped because the other new songs that were performed outshined WYW a tiny bit. The Change should have been the first, IMO. it should at least be a single at some point. not sure how i feel about Oceans, though. The Other Side is ok at best. i dunno.
plus when the video comes out it'll pick up i'm sure.
