The first single from the band's 1985 self-titled album, "What About Love" was a success for the band. It was their first top 40 hit in three years, and their first top 10 hit in five.
It was originally going to be released by Canadian rock group Toronto, but they decided against it in the end. The Toronto version was finally released in 2002 on their Greatest Hits collection.
What the GP had to say:
Playa Playa wasn't feeling it: "What About Love, Alone & Who Will You Run To, etc were all released after Heart "sold out". None of them are bad songs but I'm just more of a fan of their rock-sounding music." He then rounds it off with a fun little fact: "Note: My favourite Lil' Wayne song "Something You Forget" samples What About Love."
Released as the first single from the band's 1981 sophomore album, "Talk Of The Town" failed to chart in the US, but became the band's second top 10 in the UK, peaking at #8.
Despite not being dragged by anyone (its lowest score being two 4s), it's this low because it received a lot of middling scores. Poor that.
What the GP had to say:
andresg770 had this to say: "Discovering that Garbage used part of this song in "Special" was one of the highlights of my life as a music fan." I guess that counts as praise?
