Yeah but it's hard to be excited about any of that because this finale didn't really give us much to look forward to. A lot was unanswered, and not in a Let's-weave-a-mystery way but more in a Badly-scripted-finale way. Many of the questions that should have been answered by now (and thus allowing for more mysteries to be brought into the show) are still being ignored by the writers... We know Mona might have been part of the A team, but who killed Allison and what is the purpose of the A team anyway (I feel like that was lost somewhere along the way)?
Also, A feels like such a cop out when it's Mona. Her reason for joining the team was so lame "You took away my only friend!!! -Cries-".
My point is, 'A' (meaning Mona) just isn't as badass as A should be. The writers needed to give us more for us to care about the whole A team conspiracy thing tbh.
They wasted that finale on a petty, immature, trivial A reveal, when A is supposed to be this omnipresent badass: smarter and more cunning than the liars combined. I was waiting with baited breath during that last scene because I hoped that we would get more from "main A" visiting Mona in the ward, but it kind of fell flat.
Overall, this didn't feel like a season finale, (except for the Mona monologue, which I thought was alright), and that's why I think many people were disappointed. There's so much inertia
and the writers really need to pick up the pace.
Edit: Aaarrgh, it's so frustrating because the theories fans were coming up with were so much better than the finale. We still don't know who was left of the NAT team. The writers could have EASILY made Ezra A (maybe he had a thing with Allison, or Vivian, and she threatened to tell), they could have made one of the liars look guilty (Spencer has always been shady, even though she's my favourite, and Aria's storyline is sooooo boring, it could have used a twist) or maybe a parent, Allison's twin etc. Those ALL would have been more shocking. OK /rant!
