[episode 5 - gotta catch 'em all!]
before i get into the challenge, i will announce that, as a result of so many contestants dropping out of the competition, i have decided to allow previously eliminated contestants back in, though they are not going to be placed on their original teams (for the most part). one contestant, mani, was disqualified, but she will be allowed back in based on the strength of her first round submission. think of this as a "start over." each team will again have 4 contestants for this upcoming round. the teams are as follows:
the gretchens: Edi_Shak, ắttitudé, Nait Phoenix, Georges
the reginas: Jwoww310, Owl, easygirls (hausofkisuke), Doc
the cadys: IWasHere, zombaland, genetic fail, Mani
the karens: Remember, Mr. Duff, Beyoncé on Top, Mzd
with all of this settled, let's move on to the challenge... (p.s. YOU are responsible for reading ALL instructions. if you do not understand something let me know and i will attempt to clear things up for you).
the title of this challenge is "gotta catch 'em all!" if you don't recognize this phrase, it is from the tv show, video games, and trading card game pokémon. pokémon is one of the most POPULAR character franchises in the entire world, which is why it fits so well with this competition. what i would like you to do for this challenge is to choose a singer (it doesn't have to be your fave) and choose one pokémon to be the partner of that singer.
here are the things that MUST be included in your entry:
1. a flattering picture of your chosen singer
2. a picture of the pokémon you are pairing your singer with
3. 2-3 sentences explaining why you paired your chosen singer with that particular pokémon
this challenge is supposed to be fun, but i would like you to be creative with your entries. try to find a pokémon that fits well visually with the singer you choose. don't go for the obvious (examples: lady gaga/jynx, rihanna in the "hard" video/sandslash, rihanna/pidgeot).

like the past rounds, you will have just over 3 days to complete the challenge! it will be due at 11:59pm pacific standard time on saturday, february 4th.
late entries will result in INSTANT EXPULSION. because we have had trouble in the past, there will be NO EXCEPTIONS.
for this round, your submission does NOT need to be approved by your mentor. however, you may send it to your mentor before submitting it to see if they have any suggestions for improving it.[/CENTER]
