i don't think last era was handled THAT badly. apart from all the promo happening in 1 week, her disappearing as soon as the album was released, the 2nd single not being on itunes the day the music video premiered, the album leaking 3 weeks before it's release.

at least it was critically acclaimed and body party was a hit and it sold more than basic instinct. it put her name out there again, i have a feeling they know what they're doing this time.

"Body Party" went Gold and "I'm Out" was a moderate hit too.

i find it odd that labels still think it's ok to drop a song on the internet without giving people a means of purchasing it the second it premieres. are they aware that all this is doing is giving people a chance to justify downloading it for free? do they think people will wait for it to be put on itunes?

I'm Out flopped really hard at Urban radio. Rhythmic might have given it a little more life but it wasn't going far, it's just not a radio song.

Of course the second single from Ciara's new album featuring Nicki Minaj that premiered at the BET Awards is going Top 20 on iTunes.

Gimmie Dat was not going to be a hit on radio..EVER.

Her uptempos are still great but they're never radio friendly. This isn't 2006.
