I don't see how 270K is bad for Katy though, its an improvement . Well I guess if you take the promos into account ..... but so what, Katy is still getting bigger and bigger.
PRISM will probably have more longevity though, I think some of y'all are overreacting Her single sales will probably overshadow her album sales as usual, but I'm predicting that it'll stay at the charts for a VERY long time (like TD, except much more because she's a bigger star now)
I'm expecting anywhere from 300-420k. Anything less than that would be a disappointment. Anything more would be more than impressive.
it would be a disappointment

That's good. Too good for her in my opinion. Her talentless ass doesn't deserve this success. She makes such generic and formulaic music...and her live performances don't make up for it, they're just so the only good things about her that I can think of are her boobies, but these don't justify her success as a musician, if she was a playmate or something I'd get it, but she's a horrific singer and a bad performer and her personality doesn't compensate for her lack of talent either, bitch is so boring!! Beyoncé and Taylor Swift seem wild in comparison to her. I know you guys will call me pressed and you'll be totally right to do so but I just had to let it all out, can't stand that woman and I have to hear her cheesy songs and see her face everywhere and everyday... she's omnipresent
Congrats though

300k is nothing to be ashamed of, but it's not impressive either (for Katy). You can't compare this to Teenage Dream. She is so much more popular now than at the start of the TD era. Yes, it will probably have legs and sell amazingly for the rest of the year, but the opening week is disappointing.
Adele's 21 debuted with 352K, so it means nothing.
Aren't you ashamed of that as a Katy stan? Adele debuted with 352k when she was a flop in the US with her biggest hit being a #13 peaking song (Rolling In The Deep, by that time). Katy has 11 Top 3 hits and can't outsell that.
