I'm sorry but I just HAD to watch this performance on YouTube and honestly it was horrible. Usher was right, he did it better. The song is such a timeless classic and so majestic, one of his best songs ever and they just had **** all over it.

I don't think it's an impossible track. There are some fantastic covers on YouTube, some doing crazy vocals with their insane ranges, beyond what Usher did on the track himself, but this was horrid. The instrumental was so bad, and I can tell these two singers are good, even great, but that was just absolutely bad.

Sorry for the rant, but seriously Adam Levine, don't insult an Usher classic like that. I don't know how involved he was in picking the track, as I believe both of them chose the song, but he had inputs on the instrumentals and vocals/bridges, and still let that abomination happen.

I agree. Like Usher just made everyone swoon by singing by himself. The thing that I love about Usher's live version is that the emotions are real. I like the YouTube covers and I think they're amazing but they don't have that rawness like Usher does. In order for someone to pull off a song like that they need depth and they need to get really into the song.

Of course, I totally agree, Usher's will always be the best version. However those YouTube versions brought a fresh perspective to the track and the best covers were tackled by the artist in different ways than Usher did, which makes me appreciate them. None of that was shown on The Voice performance, none at all. What a sloppy mess. Usher's little demo destroyed their entire stage presence.

I'm just so pissed off that Adam let that happen, and did you guys see his face when Usher was talking about his own track? I normally like the dude, he has comic relief, but man, I lost so much respect and patience for Adam. I don't normally follow the show but if I did, I'm sure I'd probably dislike him more.

Yeah I like the YouTube covers because they change it up. Adam got all pissy Usher showed him up, tbh I always thought Adam is jealous. You can tell. They get along a lot better this season but I don't think they're that close. I think it's funny that there were Adam/Shakira rumors when....

Me too. It had an incredible impact on my life. I was in 6th grade when it was released.

Everyone in my school was listening to that album. It was really amazing to sew so many people connect to that album.

Guys I always had a question regarding Usher's tatt.

You guys remember his BET 2012 performance of "Climax"? Well y'all remember he actually had a full on neck tatt alongside an extended arm tatt reflecting the L4M graphics theme? What was up with that, was it like a fake tatt or he actually got it removed right away due to it not looking dope at all?
