They're like kind of tomboy-ish imo, with some moments.
She didn't go fully whimsical and fairy tale princess thing on like the whole album until Speak Now (which I kind of like better but yeah).

The fact that Taylor puts more of herself in her music explains why more people care about her and why critics prefer her. But in terms of defining pop eras with mass appeal, TD wins.
