Mariah covers Playboy Magazine

Playboy has chosen her for the cover of a special issue dedicated to music. Crowning her as queen of pop eroticism. But don't speak to her about men. After a marriage and a great love, today she says: "I am in love only with myself, Nick and my kids." Try not to ask about Eminem! Her photos on the late Playboy issue are so sexy. "Did you see them yet? I searched the magazine in a store at the airport but in front of the magazines stand for men, I ran away. I was afraid they'd recognize me!" Mariah Carey, 44 years old, is on the cover of Playboy March issue. But she is not naked. She wears a low-necked swimsuit, showing a surprising body for a woman which 15 years ago touched bottom physically and mentally.
The cover received huge backlash from the media and public alike, saying that she may have bared everything and posed naked in this issue. "How dare she poses for Playboy magazine when she already has twins and is 44 years old !!", says a man from NYC after being interviewed. Playboy magazine has since released an official statement saying that Mariah is chosen and will be covering this upcoming special issue which only is dedicated to music and her photo shoot found inside will not feature her fully naked. The hashtag #MCPlayboy was trending on Twitter for almost 23 hours because of the possibility that Mariah could be naked in this issue. After being one of the most loved singers of the 90's, in 2001 she had a breakdown with the album, Glitter that sent her to the hospital. Her rebirth happened two years ago, thanks to the success of The Emancipation of Mimi, the R&B album with autobiographical lyrics that contains the most listened to "We Belong Together" and that counted 6 platinum records and 3 Grammies. We meet her in London at the special party organized for her by Pinko, in which insiders have said that the Italian brand that may have chosen her as a spokes model. The fact that she is a diva, it's obvious from the first second of our meeting. And now with a huge release, "The Stygian Chevalier" two weeks ago she is on a promo tour and is currently in Australia. In the suite where she's waiting for me, she is lying on a sofa and I have to dribble among pack of flowers and scented candles.
Q:Why did you pose for Playboy?
MC:They told me that it was a special issue dedicated to music, so I thought it would be fine. But then I had to call the minister of our church later on to inform him and explain to him also that, inside the magazine, there will not be pictures of me naked. My fans would never forgive me for that!
Q:I never thought that you are so bashful. And I didn't know that you are religious and practicing.
MC:I must give everything to God, the gift of voice, my career. I am a very spiritual woman even if I had no religious education. And if you think that my grandmother had a big responsibility at a Pentecostal church while her husband was Catholic, so did my father, when he was a child, he went to two different churches everyday. Moreover, my mother is Irish and she was educated by Catholic sisters. But when I was born times changed. And then my parents divorced when I was little.
Q:Did your mother urge you to do music?
MC:Yes, she also was an artist. The first song I sang was an Italian theme that my mother repeated continuously. I copied her but obviously I was wrong about the pronunciation of words. Anyway from then she noticed my voice and began to take me with her on the stage.
Q:Your success is due more to your talent or your determination?
MC:The talent is necessary, but it is also fundamental belief in oneself. When I was 17, even if I came from a poor family, I was the most ambitious girl in the world. But everybody joked about me, they told me that I was one in a million and I would never have success. My mother was the only one who trusted in me. She always said "Don't ever say "if" but "when."
Q:The most beautiful moment in your life?
MC:This is a good moment, but maybe the best was when I divorced from my husband and I recovered my freedom. Also when I just found out that I was pregnant with my 'dembabies'.
Q:And the worst one?
MC:The beginning was very difficult, because we had nothing and I couldn't bear the idea of remaining poor for the rest of my life.
Q:I thought you would have said more than 10 years ago, when you had a breakdown. What happened?
MC:I worked too much and people around me forgot that I am human. I had become a robot. I came out thanks to the trust I have always had in myself. In everybody's life there are up and down moments.
Q:Don't you think you have sacrificed your private life for the professional one?
MC:Surely it happened but you can't have everything.
Q:Are you in love now?
MC:I love myself, Nick and my twins in the right way. In every relationship it is an important start from this presupposition. Because I have found the man, which is Nick, who falls in love with Mariah, not with Diva.
Q:Is it better to stay with a famous man or not?
MC:Once I thought that a famous man could better understand me and so I was oriented in that way but then I discovered that jealousy made bad jokes. It happened that I was with a man that suffered if someone offered a job to me and not to him. But I am not telling the name of this man!
Q:You love yourself and this fact made you flourish again. How is the relationship with your body?
MC:I know that I must make some sacrifices to be in good form. Unfortunately, I am one of those women who, if I take 3 kilos, it seems like I take 10. My face soon becomes plump as a ball.
Q:But do you like yourself?
MC:It depends. Sometimes, the fact that I know that I can't eat everything I want to, gets me nervous. I am on a diet since I was 15.
Q:Are you afraid to get older?
MC:No. If you note, people who are afraid of it get older faster.
Q:Would you ever resort to cosmetic surgery?
MC:I give many attention to my skin, I never get tanned and I always use a very high cream protection. But there are other parts of body, like hands, which reveal the real age. From this point of view, to be a mixed helps me.
Q:Is it true that you are in a new movie?
MC:Yes, Resident Evil 6 by Paul W.S.Anderson, it also stars Ethan Peck, Paul's nephew. I play the role of a woman who used to be in a relationship with a violent man before the apocalypse and she became a cold zombie killer who kills zombies without mercy after that. I love this project because it fits my current album's theme, "The Stygian Chevalier" and I'm studying this role for months.
Q:But Glitter was a flop in 2001. Why did you decide to try again? Is it because of the success with "Push" and "The Butler" ??
MC:That certainly could not be worse than that with "Glitter"! I was thankful to be able to get an opportunity for wonderful roles on "Push" and "The Butler", which has given me a realisation that I do know how to act in different roles given to me.
Q:Your latest album, "The Stygian Chevalier", on the contrary, has been a big success and has currently sold over 600,000 copies digitally and physically combined. Is it true that you write your songs?
MC:Yes, even if there are some people who criticize me for that. They tell me that a real diva had only to sing. But if I had not sat at the piano by my own, songs like "All I Want For Christmas Is You", "We Belong Together" and "The Stygian Chevalier" would have never been born.
Q:Your latest music videos, "Libidinous Dream" (DJ Clue Dark Remix) and "The Stygian Chevalier" has received huge backlash from the public. What do you think the public was thinking?
MC:Both of my music videos is a work of art and I'm serious. For the "Libidinous Dream" (DJ Clue Dark Remix)music video, I wanted to convey something; that is to not trust anyone easily. You saw the ending of the video? It was sad because she fought all the way there just to save him and in the end he tried to kill her while the music video for "The Stygian Chevalier" on the other hand, it shows her being cold. This was what almost happen to me with Tommy to be quite honest, but I held back.
Q:But, please, will you satisfy my curiosity? What happened with Eminem? Reading the magazines, it seems that you had a hard relationship.
MC:I thought he was a friend of mine but he spreads strange things about me and during his concerts, let people listened to my messages I left on his answering service. I really don't understand this behaviour, but if it makes him happy.
Q:It seems like a jilted lover behaviour.
MC:I never had sex with him. And with this, I hope to close this conversation.

Britain's Got Talent
('Loverboy' Performance)

The lovely Taylor Swift has been promoting her brand new single 'Loverboy' all across the globe. Taylor hit up Los Angeles and New York City first for promotion where she performed on major television shows like Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and more. Taylor even flew out to Toronto where she delivered the first award show performance of the Giorgio Moroder produced nu-disco song. Other performances included the biggest performance for the song yet which took place at the MTV Video Music Awards in Japan, where Taylor won Video of The Year for 'Gunshots', her collaboration with young pop star and actress Zendaya Coleman. The song proved to be a major success for Taylor and Zendaya not only sales wise but critically as the video brought home three Japanese MTV Video Music Awards. "Taking home three VMAs from the Japanese version of the Video Music Awards is amazing. Soon enough the time for the American version will be coming around which I suppose is exciting." Taylor Swift answered the host, who asked her if she were excited for the MTV Video Music Awards (United States Version). "I'm sure I'll find some time when to look at the nominations but for now I'm really just too busy to focus on anything other than the single right now, really. But I want to thank all my Japanese fans again. My American fans and fans all around the globe because I know you guys found a way to be able to vote for me. Thank you again to you guys', including Zendaya and her fan. I'm so appreciative of the awards I received tonight. Thank you guys and enjoy the rest of your night" Taylor told MTV in an exclusive interview right after winning the VMA for Video of The Year and giving a show stopping show for the fifty thousand who were piled up in the Tokyo Dome for the 2014 MTV Japanese Music Video Awards, performing 'Loverboy' for the audience. The crowd fed off her energy inside the Tokyo Dome and the same did for Miss Taylor Swift who performed the same song, 'Loverboy', at the final of Britain's Got Talent this week. A video montage of a list of Taylor Swift's commercial success were played before they introduced her to stage. Receipts like "Nine consecutive top five singles", "Five consecutive number one albums", "Seven GRAMMY awards", and "Longest reigning number one single of all time" were placed in the video montage over clips, the receipts written in a special text that suited the show (Britain's Got Talent's) theme /art design. "Please welcome Taylor Swift" an announcer announced as the crowd and the judges began clapping as the lights dimmed down. Taylor descended down for the signature mood that Donna Summer used. Instead though the moon was silver and coated with glitter. Taylor laid upon the moon nonchalantly, her usual little cape attachment she wears attached to the outfit underneath not being there. Taylor instead wore the outfit she would finish the performance in for the start. Taylor sang the first verse to the original production as stars on the screen shined behind her. The moon go almost to the floor stage, stopping a few feet above the floor before the arrangement slowed and Taylor laid there on the mood singing the song almost acapella. A violin began playing as she did some more vocalizations before the stage darkened in a fade out affect. A single star shined before a loud synth was heard. There was a sound of a crack before the lights cut back on and we caught sight of something we didn't Expect. A pure disco arrangement hit as Taylor stood behind a microphone, two background singers standing ten feet behind her on either side. Shirtless male dancers wearing polka dotted shorts touched on Swift, as she did them, leaning on them at times and even at one point they carried Taylor on either of their shoulders. The boys were extremely attractive as Taylor even pecked them on the lips right before the bridge. A fan blew on Swift along with a spotlight on her as she began to belt out the bridge in an all new arrangement. The performance was the best performance of 'Loverboy' vocally and helped draw in some of the biggest views for Britain's Got Talent in quite awhile, giving the show the views it needed. 'Loverboy' is currently available in stores at places such as Target, where there is an exclusive cover for the single, and other stores such as Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Sams Club, and more. The song is also available for download digitally on Taylor Swift's official website, iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon Mp3. Make sure you go pick up your copy and look out for Taylor's upcoming seventh album that will be out very very soon.

Total Azealia Live

The popular MTV music show Total Request Live has returned to interview Azealia Banks and have her perform some of her hot new songs in a one hour one time only special which is expected to hit DVD shelves immediately. In the interview Azealia was asked about her album Reborn as well as her single Paradiso and her previous single Vibes. The special on MTV attracted a good sized 3.5 million viewers which is relatively good for a cable tv channel. Azealia ended up uploading the performance of Paradiso on Total Azealia Live to her YouTube account after the performance where the video has since gained hundred of thousands of views.
When Azealia performed Paradiso live she was wearing leather MC-Hammer style pants that were black and matched Azealia's black leather tube top. Over the tube top Azealia had on a transparent vinyl trench coat that was unbuttoned. With this Azealia had custom made Jordan's which were black leather and studded with diamonds. The entire getup other than the shoes were customly designed by Valentino. Along with this Azealia took from the book of Aaliyah with her straight black hair with a black bandana around her head with dark purple lipstick. Azealia started the performance with her back facing the audience as the beat to Paradiso played. All that was on stage with Azealia was the mic in her hands and two female dancers with matching outfits. Azealia turned around to rap the entirety of Paradiso with the crowd going along and clapping to the beat. As a surprise, Missy Elliott came out to do her verse in Paradiso for its remix while wearing Adidas leather sweatshirt and workout pants. The crowd went wild for the two of these ladies doing their verses to the epic Paradiso. During the last verse of the song, Azealia went into the crowd and even had a young disabled girl rap the last few lines as Azealia smiled and helped the girl along. With smiles all over, the performance was over and Azealia gave a bow to the audience. After a commercial break it was time for an interview. Read below for highlights:
Q: Great performance Azealia! We are so glad to have you here for this special event.
A: It's so great to be here! I am so excited for this interview and the special performance i have after this.
Q: We can't wait for that! So tell us, you have an album out called Reborn. The videos so far have been amazing! How'd you do it?
A: It all came from my head! It took so much hard work putting together this album and I'm so happy with how everything turned out. The videos were my favorite thing to do. The latest one, the Paradiso Remix, was especially my favorite. I plan to have all my songs have a visual of some sort, I was inspired by Beyoncé heavily in this way. I mean I've already had two music videos for both Vibes and Paradiso.
Q: We can't wait to see the other videos! Paradiso is such a good music video and the remix is even better, let's watch it.
*Paradiso Remix Video Plays and crowd claps as it ends*
A: I love that video so much it was so much fun working with all the girls on that video. I hope one day we can all pull together and do it again, you know?
Q: We hope you guys can too! The song is great and the video is too. Well we don't want to hold you up too long. Right after this quick break, Azealia will be back to perform her number one hit, Vibes!
For Azealia's performance of Vibes Azealia wore the outfit in the Paradiso performance this time minus the trench coat. With the crowd going wild for this performance, Azealia dominated the stage with no dancers, just her singing her heart away. The performance then ended and Azealia said she's going to be giving away copies of Reborn to everyone in the audience. The crowd screamed of delight and the program was then over.

Zedd takes over TRL (Part 2)
Zedd took over TRL today and rebranded it as Total Zedd Live. This follows a recent trend of pop stars hosting TRL and rebranding it with their names. This is the first time an EDM artist has hosted the show, however.
The one-hour special included an interview segment, a game, and the Top 10 countdown. The top 10 list can be found below. For the interview and game, please see Part 1.
TZL Top 10 Countdown
This countdown is like a typical TRL countdown: it’s the top 10 videos, but voted by text message and a poll on the TRL website. The video is announced with its place, and the video is played. In this episode, Zedd announces them and comments on them prior to the video being shown. Here is the top 10 list!
10. “Burn” – Kylie Minogue
Zedd’s Comment: “This is an amazing song and video. It’s just so entertaining and theatrical. It’s amazing. I don’t know what else to say. Just watch, you’ll see for yourself. This is going number one soon, I can feel it.”
9. “Juicy Cakes” – Rihanna feat. Brandy
Zedd’s Comment: “I’m surprised this song is still in the Top 10 this week! I would think ‘Touchin’ Me’ would have knocked it out. Oh well, it’s here, and it’s good, so I’ll let it slide.”
8. “Losing Me” – Rita Ora
NOTE: This video has been edited to be allowed under FCC guidelines
Zedd’s Comment: “I found this video to be kinda funny, but a little disturbing as a guy. It kinda scares me, haha. It is a good video, and the song will for sure do well.”
7. “Happy Meal” – Marina and the Diamonds
Zedd’s Comment: “This song caught me off guard. I was expecting a pop song like something from Electra Heart but I got this. And I love it. I can see it rising up to number one.
6. “Critical” – Demi Lovato
Zedd’s Comment: “It’s a nice video, and I like the song. It could go number one, but it’s facing some serious competition. Honestly, just making it onto this list is a major achievement.
5. “The Stygian Chevalier” – Mariah Carey
NOTE: This video has been edited to be allowed under FCC guidelines
Zedd’s Comment: “This video is amazing, it deserves to be number one! It could easily fall out of the top 10 next week, especially if big videos are released from now until then. I really hope it takes the number one spot eventually, though."
4. “Paradiso” – Azealia Banks
Zedd’s Comment: “I love Azealia, she’s one of my favorite rappers and singers out there. I worked with her on my new album, and you’re all sure to love the result!”
3. “Asleep” – Ellie Goulding
Zedd’s Comment: “I’m glad I got to see my former label mate in the Top Three! This is a wonderfully done video and I’m not surprised it’s ranked so high. Everyone who’s worked on it deserves it.”
2. “Touchin’ Me” – Britney Spears & Rihanna
NOTE: This video has been edited to be allowed under FCC guidelines.
Zedd’s Comment: “I LOVE Britney and Rihanna! They’re very talented artists and I am very honored to have worked with them, Rihanna on her album with ‘Drowning’ and Britney on my album. I am very happy to see them at such a high ranking! Also, congrats to Rihanna for having two songs in the top 10 at once!”
1. “Temple” – Zedd feat. Lady Gaga
NOTE: This video has been edited to be allowed under FCC guidelines.
Zedd’s Comment: “I am shocked. I never expected my video to be number one! This is amazing! I am so honored to have the first EDM number one on TRL with Lady Gaga! Thanks to everyone who voted for ‘Temple’ and everyone who worked on it!”
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Zedd’s new album Serenity will be released on July 21st. The official cover and track listing will be revealed soon.
"Temple" is the second single from Zedd's sophomore album Serenity.
Buy it now on iTunes, Amazon, and Google Play. Also stream it on YouTube and Spotify!
The music video is now available on iTunes, YouTube, and Vevo!
The remix EP is now available on iTunes, with additional remixes on Beatport soon!

Azealia on Kelly & Michael

Azealia appeared on Kelly & Michael today to promote her single Paradiso as well as to promote her album Reborn. The morning show talk show hosts were pleased to have Azealia on the program and ABC has been advertising Azealia's appearance on the talk show all week as a great interview with a fun performance. Over 4 people watched Azealia on the talk show which brought a great increase in ratings to Kelly&Michael.
For Azealia's performance of Paradiso she wore a black tuxedo with high water pants. Azealia's hair was bright pink for the performance and in a bun on top of her head. With dramatic Black Swan-esque style makeup, Azealia was owning the stage and fashion critics praised Azealia's look as one of the best looks from her ever. All designed by Valentino, finishing out the look was Azealia's black and pink two panel shiny shoes. At the start of the performance, Azealia stood on stage with the mic in her hand and was using her other hand to pat her leg to the beat. On stage with Azealia were two female dancers that have been used in Azealia's previous performances such as the TRL performance of Paradiso. As Azealia rapped Paradiso, the crowd went wild for the performance and even rapped along to the beat of Azealia's new hit song. After blowing a kiss to the crowd, the performance of Paradiso was over and Azealia was now ready to sit down for an interview with Kelly&Michael. Read below for interview highlights:
Q: Nice to have you here Azealia! We've been wanting you on here for a while. Your song Paradiso has been real hot on the charts.
A: Yeah I guess so. Not as hot as Vibes but it's been doing really good. Paradiso is such a fun song and it's doing what I expected, honestly. It's a summer track. I really love the song. It's one of my favorites off of Reborn, my new album.
Q: It's one of our favorites too! Reborn is such a good album from you. No one has done anything like it.
A: Thank you! I worked really hard on the album so to hear all this appreciation and admiration for the album I'm getting has been making me really happy. I drew a lot of inspiration of the album from Bjork and I am just so heavily influenced by her work in general. I hope one day we can work together.
Q: It'd be amazing if you two could work together! You and Rita Ora had issues earlier but recently the two of you performed together. Where are you guys now?
A: We're good. That's all I can say is that we're good.
Q: Wow okay so we're out of time but we were so glad to have you here Azealia. Everyone at home be sure to buy Reborn as well as Paradiso on iTunes!

Azealia on 106.1 KISS FM Dallas
Azealia phoned in for an interview on Dallas' number one radio station 106.1 KISS FM Highlights of the interview are below
Q: Azealia Banks everybody! It's great to have you here.
A: It's so great to be here! I was listening to you guys the other day while i performed in Dallas. You guys rock.
Q: Thank you, thank you. We appreciate that. Let's talk about that though. What's this tour been like?
A: It's been so crazy. Like I went on tour before with the Trident Journey while I was supporting my album Domination but I am so much bigger than I was then so it's totally different. The hype in the crowd is much higher and I truly feel like I am a superstar you know? like that feeling i get when I perform on stage and have these people I don't know sing my songs, that's just great. Something many people will never get to experience in their lives.
Q: I bet it was crazy! I went to the show and it was something no one wants to miss. You are such a great live performer.
A: Thanks! I work so hard with my live performances. I am so happy all my shows have been sold out. The tour has helped my album so much too.
Q: Your album has been doing great! Reborn is one of the best albums this year and has had the highest opening week this year. That's crazy!
A: It really is crazy! I am so thankful for my success and I really don't want it to go to my head because so many people let it get to their head and their music really just goes to crap, I don't wan that to be me. I want each of my albums to be great and a repeak. I don't want people to say "welp she did good with Reborn but what about everything after that?" I don't want to be Lady Gaga.
Q: Oop! Shade! We understand where you're coming from though. You want longevity.
A: Exactly. I want everything I do to be bigger and better. My performances, my tours, my albums, my videos. I don't want anything i do to be snubbed and not get the proper treatment it deserves. Music is my clay and it is my duty as an artist to turn it into something beautiful.
Q: We completely understand that! So many artists out there need your type of way. You know? They need to try with everything they do. Paradiso's video was absolutely outstanding.
A: Thank you, thank you. I really worked hard on the video. It was such fun to film both the original video and the remix video. I love both and I had so much fun. Vibes was a good experience too. It was so artistic for me and I loved doing it. I hope I can do something like that again.
Q: We hope you can too! You have a song that you're releasing as a single in the coming weeks called Floating Down. What can we expect for a video?
A: The video will be great. I can't say what will happen exactly in the video but it will be great. I worked so hard on it and I think it will show.
Q: We can't wait to see it! This is all the time we have though. We hope you come again! And here on KISS FM Chicago is Azealia's hot new song Paradiso.
*Paradiso then Vibes play as interview ends*

Serenity album art and track listing revealed

Zedd has finally revealed the official cover and track listing for his sophomore album Serenity! After waiting for what seemed like years (unlike literally waiting for years for some artists’ albums…), we finally know who is on the album and the names of the songs. Each song was made for this album aside from “Slay,” which was originally made for Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP but Zedd ended up keeping it for himself, “Temple,” which was going to be on ARTPOP but did not make the final cut, and “Break Free,” which was originally featured on Ariana Grande’s My Everything.
The album features a broad range of EDM styles, and it all flows well together. The album is 13 tracks total. There are collaborations with Ariana Grande, Azealia Banks, Britney Spears, Foxes, Kesha, Lady Gaga, Matthew Koma, Miriam Bryant, and Ryan Tedder. Each song aside from “Break Free” was written in part by the featured artist and in part by Zedd. Zedd worked extremely hard on this album and he hopes everyone will enjoy it. Promotion for the album will go into full action with “Temple” promotion next week. Zedd is eager to get the number one position this next week.
