Azealia's backlash has only been these past 24 hours, though. For the most part, she's been hailed and praised as the next best thing in rap due to her being the "anti-Nicki". Everyone loved Nicki for the way she was able to go hard as **** one day and turn on her barbie the next. She was also gay-friendly. But then Nicki "went pop", and the balance was thrown out of the window, just as Azealia was starting to rise.

Now a lot of the hype for Azealia is stemmed from the fact she fills a niche that Nicki USED to fill, but doesn't anymore. It will be interesting to see if Azealia's hate continues on, or if it will only be for a few days.

Azealia will never fill Nicki's shoes. She's so mediocre, & because of this she uses beats to her advantage.

I know that, Nicki will remain superior. But it's easy to see how Azealia is now more suitable for these ATRL people than Nicki was, and has 'replaced' her, in a sense.
