Mariah hired new management team and then fired all old staff, who worked for her at least 15 years. According to fired people, her new manager tries to get attention from Mariah's celebrity status and want to crush her career. Maybe Katy hired an evil, who tries to jeopardize her? Everybody talks about her bad fashion, long silence and zero information about music, but maybe answer is simple: her management? She changed her managers after Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection and then PRISM was released with some awkward diletant promotion things like bus with words "KATY PERRY PRISM", Birthday cakes instead tradition payola.

Her old team would't have messed the PRISM era so bad.

I think PRISM's promotion was awkward. Those tons of Unconditionally promotion (which seems to be her most promoted single after IKAG and Firework) was absolutely useless, because song is dead on radio after few weeks just like Meghan's NØ (at least it dead not so early).

They tried make it in a TD way, because you can see clearly short interval between first snd second single. When Katy was in 2010, she had a potential to be one era wonder, but she successed so much with California Gurls and Teenage Dream became soild worldwide hit, because radiowaves was warmed by CG and Katy's growing public status. After TD everybody saw that she has longevity with her singles.

Roar was so hard and people doesn't care about her second single, which was released too early. And Dark Horse as promo single, ugh. Yes, it was a good single for her, but it killed Unconditionally hype. I think she must release it in late November as Christmas single.

Anyway it would not have been lost, because song was dead.

Her management still the same since before she signed to Capitol. The only thing she changed recently was her stylist. The new girl started styling her on the Golden Globes.

Of course there was the big change on Capitol after EMI was sold to Universal, but it doesn't make sense a label trying to take down their biggest artist.

You're right. Her professional relationships with head of labels seems to be great.
They gave her full creative control since OOTB.
