However, if each round was staggered to ensure no one had an unfair time zone advantage, this could be very interesting.

Creative! I like that it is associating ATRL in the facts aspect. However, I have some issues with it. 1) The multiple rounds. Doing multiple rounds will take time and that can be time consuming. It also leads me into 2) we’re all from different time zones. You have to keep that in mind always, especially when giving deadlines. That’s why I try to give at most 48 hours, or if I see a time when most are online I’ll post a challenge then. Still then, you never know. 3) The point system seems kind of odd. With all those issues, and besides me creative, it has gave me ideas on doing in-between challenges for next cycle. Possibly starting this cycle

This might be a biased decision, but since I absolutely LOVE discovering new music by relatively unknown artists, this challenge is the perfect opportunity to do so. Not only would people discover new music by reviewing an album, but also by reading other people's reviews. Brilliant idea.

Interesting. A different way of getting members to expand their music taste a little. However, I don’t think this kind of challenge can be judges. It’s a lot of subjective say. We are supposed to judge others based on their writing style and how well they reviewed an album? It’d be difficult to rank you guys.

It just seems like a recycled idea of previously done things. Also, the challenge only specifies ONE post to be made, so whatever fun could be had with this challenge would end rather quickly.

I’m kind of lost. You want to them to make a post describing themselves, but their antiselves? It’s a very psychological challenge. The anti you, being the you you don’t want people to see. It was a creative entry, but I feel like it’s missing something. Something I can’t put my finger on. I’m giving you extra points for the write up. The shade on your former partner Hugamari is THICK!

TheSeenScene's Celebrity Career Counselor is another one that doesn't seem particularly interesting. Career counseling already happens at ATRL on a daily basis, although I must admit it would be fun to see the things participants would come up with to save Nick Lachey's career

The artists you chose lol. It’s pretty much a copy of my artist promotion challenge, which leaves not much creativity to it. Also, how is writing about how to re-spark another artist’s career, testing you about yourself on ATRL? At least with the artist promotion, it shows how far you would go for your favorite to promote them and get those sales. This ATRL after all and everyone is obsessed with the numbers. Another thought, where is Lindsay Lohan in those artists?

It's a cool idea, but it isn't overly creative. And I feel like we'd get a lot of basic entries. However, it could lead to a few cool ideas.

As a moderator, I find ethan's Improving ATRL sort of interesting! It would be fun to see what members come up with to make ATRL a better place. Sure, we already have ATRL HQ for our ideas to be heard, but since this challenge would be to win a competition, I'm positive that participants would walk the extra mile to give extraordinary ideas. The potential for this challenge is interesting.

I actually really like this! Being a top member is also about thinking about others, so this challenge would be perfect. Some of the better ideas could be relayed to the other mods and admins and see what happens. The judging may be a little difficult, but I can see someone having better ideas and someone having not so good ideas. I like!

I appreciate that you included the Matty Mail, something small like that gave your entry something extra that the others didn't think of. At the same time, your actual challenge is kinda bland. It seems too obvious, and I have a sinking feeling the entries would be painfully obvious and bland themselves. However, you did specify "stay creative," so hopefully that would prevent us from receiving five "Rates" section proposals.

I don’t know how creative this is… Have you seen one of the updates from Athens in which we were asking for help with a title and if people liked the idea of this new section we were thinking about adding? However, I do see creative aspects. This can be a way of you guys giving a section we might not have thought of. There is a lot of aspects to your entry, and you said you’d be expecting a long entry. I can see this being done in a fairly decent entry. Good entry!

Edge of Addiction's Mixtape challenge could be another amazing way to discover new music, but I feel it could've been detailed a bit more. For example, in addition to just submitting the mixtape, the challenge could've asked to detail the experience to get some background and insight into participant's submissions, or the max number of songs could've been specified. A good challenge in theory, but too vague.

It sounds like a challenge we will be doing in the future of the competition. With that said, it’s good. It also reminds me of an entry by Ammer last cycle (you know you made an impact if I remember it that well!). It was a top 3 music taste challenge, and the contestants had to make an early best of 2012 list and list why. It’ll be kind of hard to judge, but it can be done. Interesting and I can drink to that.
Now that you have met with the judges, when we return only 6 of you will be moving on to becoming ATRL's Next Top Member!
There goes every ounce of trust I had in you, Matty
Thanks for the comments erryone! I tried to think of something very open-ended (broad, as Katie said) because it's always such a diverse set of contestants. Look at our entries for this challenge, everything is so different. I think it's good to give people the chance to be really creative, which I know most of this bunch would be.
Katie seeming like a bitch this week
I understand, though
Thanks for the comments judges, I actually liked these critiques, because they were elaborate and/or gave me very good advice, that was straight to the point.
This will be an interesting elimination.
And thank you Vato, for taking time, to fill in this week, your comments were great.

The replacement judge was going to be Ace, and then I saw Vato was searching the thread so I asked him, got a reply, and comments and rankings. I haven't received comments and rankings from Ace yet so I'll probably have him guest judge the next challenge to make up for this. If I got both, both were going to be guest judges this week anyway.
Plus somewhere when someone asked me if the guest judge was Vato, I said no but I asked and I would be happy for him to be one. So no lie was told.
Now let me finish my homework so I do the final updating

I'm not complaining though, he made an excellent judge!
