So D!nk, Gaga, Britney, Katy and Miley have all released two or more singles this year, yet Mildred is the only one to have both of them go double platinum.
A short historical overview/timeline of pop music in 00s:
2000 - Britney, Xtina and Pink appear to be the biggest players on the field. The first two are media darlings and have a media-created feud. P!nk is the troubled child with a questionable future
2001 - Britney and Xtina going strong. P!nk finds her highly successful niche with Missundaztood. Other artists successfully emulate the styles of these three - Jessica Simpson and the like for Britney and Xtina and Avril, Ashlee Simpson and Kelly Clarkson in case of P!nk.
2002 - Shakira is on the scene and slaying
2003 - Britney and Xtina continue to be successful. Pink underperforms. Random flops rule the charts. Beyonce goes solo and proves to be a strong force.
2004 - Random flops like Ashanti
2005 - Again, some random flops.
2006 - Pink makes a big comeback. Xtina has a successful era. So do Avril and Beyonce. Other chicks are successful (e.g. Justine Timberlake)
2007 - Pink continues to build her worldwide fan-base, especially gains her iconic following in Australia. Nelly Furtado has a big year
2008 - Pink solidifies her US and worldwide standing with Funhouse. Xtina has her first true flop with her greatest hits. Britney does moderately well, but shows signs of decline. Gaga appears on the scene. So does Katy Perry
2009 - Beyonce, gaga, Pink are successful. Add Taylor Swift to the mix. But she's local and boring tbh.
2010 - Pink releases a greatest hits album that sells more than the regular studio albums of her peers. Xtina's iconic Bionic flops miserably. Gaga is doing amazing
2011 - Katy Perry sees massive success in singles, but can't sell an album. Beyonce underperforms. Britney does badly for her. Kelly Clarkson has a mediocre album sales. Avril flops. Gaga does average, but worse than expected
2012 - Pink releases another album and solidifies her status as the most consistent star and the biggest artist of her generation. Xtina bombs. Nothing else comes to mind.
2013 - Pink is on top yet again - has a big smash hit, a huge tour and a smash album. Gaga's sales dip. Britney flops with her single and is expected to sell little. Avril is done. Beyonce can't release. Katy Perry solidifies her status of a singles artist, but has smash singles.
That's it. oh I forgot Rihanna, but she's there every year doing her thing. She's doing pretty well. Not a big album seller or a tour force, but has amazing singles known anywhere in the world.
I don't mind if there's not much to say
Sometimes the silence guides our minds
So move to a place so far away
The goose bumps start to raise
The minute that my left hand meets your waist

In the end Pink wins.
End of Story.
Feel free to correct my faulty memory.
no one cares about o!nk like literally. call her queen all you want but at the end of the day no one not even the gp gives a **** bout her except for her stans. i dont remember anyone irl talking about pink ever and i live in australia
No one was wondering because even though the disgusting vile rat-faced Tranny's career has declined to the point where it would not be surprising to find him in a video playing what looks to be a bruised and beaten maid which probably will be his future career path none care enough to inquire as to whether or not that vile beast is the vile intersex swine that we all loathe.
And nowww you're just a Ghost
When I look back never woulda known that
youu could be so cold
Like a stranger, vanish like a vapor
There's just an echo, where your heart used to be
Now I see it clearly
