I found this blog review of blank space, with points no one else has made.
The song and music video satirizes the media for judging Taylor Swift’s relationship/s, which she somehow*admitted*already. However, certain scenes and elements sneaks in hints about the true personality of Taylor Swift (or whoever the heroine in the music video is) when it comes to relationships.
Hints such as the following:
The white horses represent her controlled sexual libido. She keeps these horses in her white bedroom in the absence of a man. Upon his arrival, they take a stroll on the horses. She emphasizes her superiority by leading both man and horses. In love in heartbreak, and in anger, she keeps the horses under control. She even gets to stand on it to prove she is in full control of her sexual desires. The three dogs allude to Cerberus, the three-headed guardian of the underworld. He is a guest in her estate, her own underworld. This is a reversal of role: she is Hades, and he is Persephone. The fawn alludes to Actaeon when Artemis transformed him into a stag. By showing a fawn instead of a stag, the heroine gives him less strength in his apparent punishment for breaking her heart and bathing her in her own tears and pain. The apple also alludes to Adam and Eve. However, the heroine as Eve has power over the apple like everything lese in her mansion. While manipulating the apple in her hand, she also manipulates him. He ends up taking a bite off the apple and choking from his own sins.
