CATCHING UP: The next No. 1 song on the Adult Contemporary chart could be Kelly Clarkson’s “Catch My Breath.” The single moves up one rung to No. 2 this week, right behind the Lumineers’ “Ho Hey.”

“Catch” is already Clarkson’s third-biggest hit in her almost 11 years on the AC charts. “Breakaway” is her biggest AC hit, with a 21-week reign at No. 1 in 2005. “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You)” remained in the top spot for eight weeks in 2012.

Does anyone know if there's a chance that Kelly will become a judge one the Voice, since Shakira isn't returning? Will Kelly be able to take her place next year?

Not next year at least. NBC announced that Season 5 will have Adam, Blake, Xtina and Ceelo. Season 6 will have Adam, Blake, Shakira and Usher return. Basically they're cycling out two judges for the next two seasons.

No, Christina and CeeLo are returning next season. And then Shakira and Usher return the season after that. Looks like Adam and Blake will return for both.

I love that she's working with Shane McAnally. I love the cover she did of his song "The Wreckage" she sang it at a pre-show during the AIEW tour. They've been friends for years and he's a current "it" guy in Nashville right now. He just co-wrote and co-produced Kacey Musgraves highly acclaimed album "Same Trailer Different Park"

I'd be fine with it actually.

Get some big country hits, critical praise, and some awards and then Album 7 can go back to Pop

Thinking about it, maybe Stronger will be her last fully Pop album. If Album 6 is mainly Country (it will be) then she has a baby...she won't want to come back and do the Pop thing again. She might just stay country.

She already said there will be SOME country songs on the next record that will be specifically just for country radio. BUT DON'T FREAK OUT.... THERE WILL ALSO BE POP SONGS!!

It's like "Breaking Your Own Heart" it had a country vibe but wasn't for country radio. This time around her and the label are targeting country (and pop) and she's working with some of the top Nashville people. Pretty cool when one of the current "it" people in country is her friend Shane.

I personally get the feeling that the album will contain more than "some" country singles. I would assume that at least 1/2 will be country. To be honest, she only releases 3 singles per album anyway so 3 pop singles and 3 country singles would be a great strategy.

I'm sure she'll lose a lot of fans this way but she'll gain more IMO
