The Fame is still her best album. I don't know why so many of her fans dislike it.
To convince themselves that something good came out of her commercial failure: better music! Everything else is gone, but at least the music is better! When nothing is there you have to create something.
Like The Fame was dance/rhythmic/urban. TFM was eurodance/pop and the urban/rhythmic sound was gone. BTW was dance/80s rock-inspired. ARTPOP is pop with EDM
