And that's why I think Rated R is so adored by her fans. Because it was a consistent album made of urban songs and ballads that can't ruin anything. No happy dance songs & the album flows so well.
Rated R is her last album that was not all over the place. It was an ALBUM, not a collection of recorded tracks.
I mean when you listen to Birthday Cake and then We All Want Love....or POTR and then Diamonds, it's messy. Let's not even get into Loud. If she improved this, her album sales AND critic score would go higher in my opinion.
That's why I want her 8th album to have some personality and substance. I want her to do a dance/ballad album or urban/ballad album. Not all three.
ThA end.
Now gimme PIU video MOTHA****A!

I somewhat agree with this, Good Girl Gone Bad and Rated R are very cohesive. Loud is like a GH because every song on there could've been a single, Talk That Talk was just a mess, Unapologetic feels more cohesive but for me there is something 'missing' from that album.
Rated R is her best album to date, you can tell the thought process of that album wasn't " lets find a bunch demo's that will be hits". It is a body of work, and I actually don't think Rihanna will be able to top that album. I hope she goes though,

Do you think we can finally discard album 8 for this year? I mean What Now is definitely her next single, and if it does well we could get her to release Jump as well.

Why are Rihanna's bonus tracks better than some album tracks? How come the flawfree Do Ya Thang is nawt on the standard edition of TTT.

I think that at this point it's pretty safe to say no #R8 this year.

TTT or Unapologetic? What's the better album?
I haven't listened to Unapologetic yet. It's been almost a year in my iTunes

Loud, TTT and Unap were all cohesive albums. The only thing that didn't really suit is Diamonds being preceeded by POTR but aside from that all three albums flow smoothly from start to finish. I mean LOUD's tracklist could have been the single order of the era.
Imagine this:
Sept, 2010 S&M lead single
Oct, 2010 WMN
Feb, 2011 Cheers
May, 2011 Fading/OG (dual release)
Augut, 2011 CKB/MD
Lol. That's a perfect singles order.

Unapologetic is an objectively better album, but I'm one of the few that actually prefers Talk That Talk.

Nah, I think Rih and Def Jam did a good job at the single order during Loud. Only Girl was the perfect lead single.

sorry, but this makes no sense. Just say you like TTT better. You don't need to go along with the general consensus that UA is better.

You're missing out on something babe. But if ever you decide to actually listen to Unap, listen first to Talk That Talk. If you have the deluxe, delete Red Lipstick first, play from You Da One to Fool in Love and you will get your life. The album is actually good and full of bops. Songs are not single ready (aside from WFL and WHYB) but they are all poppy enough for an urban record. Some critics also noted TTT as Rihanna's most cohesive album (due to it's theme which is sex).
After you replayed the **** out of TTT, take a rest from Rihanna for at least 12 hours. Then put on your headphones, drag Phresh below Half of Me (basically you start listening to Diamonds). It's good on headphones/earphones. Once you listen to it from start to finish, you can really hear her connection to the songs. Also Unap offers her best vocal performances.

It makes sense to me. I really do think that Unapologetic is better sonically and thematically, but I just like and listen to Talk That Talk's raunchy bops more.

Do you agree that Red Lipstick is the worst urban track Rihanna ever recorded. Even the untolerable Raining Men eclipsed it for me.
Don't worry, I still bop to those two songs ocassionally. Like I said I don't hate any Rihanna songs but RL and RM don't do justice for their respective albums. They should have been in the mixtapes instead.

IS there even the slightest chance of Rih announcing more NY DWT dates?
