Yesterday was the two year anniversary of A Year Without Rain Too bad the era was killed when AYWR wasn't sent for adds, and the fact that not even six months after the album was released, Who Says was released as a single.
A fun fact about AYWR is that it never sold less than 10k a week until it's 17th week on the charts, in fact it sold an average of 30,944 per week it's first 16 weeks. By it's 17th week it had already crossed the 500k mark, making it her fastest album to reach gold. It didn't take her two years like some others
Looking back, 2011 was definitively Selena's year. She sold 917,428 albums in that year alone. Kiss and Tell sold 124,125 copies in 2011, AYWR sold 257,123 and WTSGD sold 536,180 in those last six months of 2011.

Last Year's Rank: 3
Birthdate: July 22, 1992 (age 20)
Why She's Hot: One year after scoring another huge album ("When the Sun Goes Down") and a pair of hit singles ("Who Says" and "Love You Like a Love Song"), Selena Gomez has broadened her appeal while taking a break from recording. This spring, she launched a self-titled fragrance and appeared in sultry ads supporting it. A continued focus on film -- her voice will be heard in the animated film "Hotel Transylvania," and next year Gomez will appear in the crime drama "Getaway"-- has served as a logical next step for the former "Wizards of Waverly Place" star. And of course, more hand-holding with Justin Bieber has led to countless tabloid placements. Selena Gomez and the Scene will hopefully be back soon, but in the meantime, the 20-year-old starlet is still leaving her imprint on pop culture.

I don't really care for Pattie. She's shady most of the time lmao.
I can deal with six. Still in the top 10 She had a lot of things going on last year so
Too bad next years list won't include her She would be in the top again.

Sometimes, a film festival can become choked with hoity-toity awards season wannabes. Sometimes, you just need a palate cleanser like Spring Breakers. Harmony Korine's T&A crime comedy is a total blast, casting jailbait actresses like Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens as bad girls in bikinis who hook up with James Franco's utterly insane rapper/crimelord in sunny Florida. They shoot guns, they do drugs, and they cavort with each other in montages set to Britney Spears. What's not to love?
Stay tuned to @MTV3 #Top20 for the @selenagomez interview! So sweet!

Biggest breakout potential
Most of gen pop haven’t heard of Spring Breakers. Annapurna pictures—run by of-the-moment producer Megan Ellison (and daughter of Oracle’s Larry Ellison)—will look to change that with its acquisition and eventual release of Harmony Korine’s twisted tale of adolescent ennui, starring the bikini-clad, gun-toting trio of Selena Gomez, Vanessa Gudgens, and Ashley Benson in image-shattering performances. The buzz on this one had become so bloated by the festival’s end, that at least 200 journalists were turned away at its final screening. Mark our words: Everyone and their little sister will be talking about Spring Breakers by year’s end.

Save for a few minor letdowns, TIFF 2012 had been offering up good film after good film. It wasn’t until my second to last day at the fest that I had been completely blown away by something – Harmony Korine’s Spring Breakers. No other screening had produced such a potent wave of awe-inspiring images and emotions. I knew I would react favorably to Korine’s latest, but nothing had quite prepared me for how much the director had matured, while still sticking to his signature aesthetic. Spring Breakers is such a fluid and subverting work, as well as overly divisive – which is no surprise coming from Korine. Not only was it my favorite film of the fest by a mile, but my favorite film of 2012 so far.
SPRING BREAKERS Spriiiiiing break. Spriiiiing break. [Pretend that is the voice of the creepy creepy James Franco character.] I do not even know what to tell you about this movie. It was totally idiotic. And beautiful. Tiresome and flat, and unexpected and captivating. Offensive and hilarious. Girls Gone Wild + MTV + Bonnie and Clyde + The Virgin Suicides. What I know for sure: Selena Gomez never disappoints. That girl is a talent. What I also know for sure: throw a Britney Spears song (or two) into a movie and it’s hard for me not to grin like an idiot in the theatre.

I didn't know this
I read some of the reviews and the biggest downfall, like many others have said, seems to be the writing.
Treating herself to a pampering session, Selena Gomez hit up the Nine Zero One Salon in West Hollywood last night (September 18).
Sporting a grey tank top with dark wash jeans and sandals, the “Wizards of Waverly Place” babe carried a book titled “The Secret to Love That Lasts” for a little light reading while she hung out in the waiting room.
Brown and extensions are back. I can't hate she looks great.
