Ariana's touring power doesn't surprise me in the least bit. The crowd she attracts mainly consists of the type of people who will streaming the living **** out of an album without ever considering to simply buy it, (which is part of why her album sales blow), but they're also the kind of people who will derail their parents into bankruptcy making them buy concert tickets to see literally everyone they have even a remote percentage of interest for.

Good for her. Madeath proved that selling concert tickets is the best way to make money and stay consistent, while J. LOL proved that being a media-crazed psychopath and having radio stations payola the crap out of your singles can keep you relevant, (or at least trick people into thinking you're relevant), and distract from your dismal career aspects.

Mark wasn't even famous when he did that, so people kinda just overlooked it since he never screwed up like that after the Funky Bunch took off, and the other two were consistently active while their scandals broke out, so the public went "Eh, let's forgive them and move on!" like they did with Kobe Bryant and Chris Brown to an extent.

Mel Gibson was LONG past his prime when the infamous "Are you a Jew?" situation was reported, and even more so when that disaster with that Russian chick ensued, so it basically cemented the fact that he'd be over and would never be able to return. The public is very forgiving, unless you're no longer supplying them with entertainment.
