I streamed Hello on Spotify and You Tube virtually constantly until midnight, or for three hours. The exception is when I took time to listen to Disturbed's The Sound Of Silence, which is a song I recommend everyone streaming and/or downloading.

Using the Spotify data from the 1/7 charts, I looked at every song charting in the T50 of either US or WW:

Could the Fetty Wap remix & the huge Rhythmic radio support help SOL go Top 5? I hope it has a chance

i would've NEVER thought Hello would beat gangnam style to fastest to 1 billion!
NeVER! that vid was an absolute global phenomenon, and it stands at 2,5 views, more than 1 billion more than #2!
wonder how long it will keep gaining, it's obviously slowing down but surprisingly little, it's still at like 9 million/week WW!

Looked into the Hello and Sorry numbers for the last 10 weeks and there is just absolutely no consistency and not even any sort of patterns I recognize. It's still pretty much a guessing game what you have to add to the Youtube + Spotify numbers (no matter if you add real numbers or if you add percentages) to get the full streaming number.
Some weeks Youtube and Spotify goes up and streams outside of that go down or the other way round or all 3 gain. It's so random

The missing link is Apple Music who never reveals their numbers. If those numbers were revealed, we'd practically get 90% of the weekly streaming numbers.

Yeah. I just thought there would be some sort of correlation, maybe between Spotify and Apple Music, but I don't see anything.

Spotify needs to gobble up Apple Music already.

Can we start tracking Disturbed's "The Sound Of Silence"? It's doing incredibly well for an Active Rock/Nu Metal song on I-Tunes, and I saw its video had 6 million views in one month. That's peanuts for many genres, but huge for my favorite format! The last crossover from Active Rock was seven years ago, so I'm hoping maybe this song will be the one to break through at mainstream radio.

Shinedown's "Second Chance" was indeed the last Active Rock to Mainstream Radio crossover. Please listen to the song if you haven't already! It's on YouTube and Spotify. The video is awesome too!

Disturbed doesn't have any videos on Vevo . This needs to be uploaded there, since this is one of the most watched Active Rock videos out there.
Edit: I emailed Vevo about adding the video ASAP.
