She might as well just stop answering phone calls from big name artists because those collabs never work out. I hate how no one paid attention to her reason for why she was upset about the situation though. She basically said they wanted to work with her but she started to feel like they were slowly phasing her out while still taking her ideas. I can totally see that happening (the music industry is soooo shady) but unfortunately no one will believe her because it's Azealia.

I think with everything Azealia does/says there's some harsh truth in it but it's her delivery that makes people completely disregard her opinion. If she had've calmly tweeted about it or spoke about it during an interview I think people would've sat up because she's quite eloquent in person. However, as soon as you type "Rihanna Azealia Banks" into Google it's just "Azealia says Rihanna can't dance, is lazy, pill popping diva etc", shame. She always jumps head first from the top of the mountain.

Agreed, like there are so many ways of criticising someone without coming @ them for the most fickle things...

B&P coming out in over a year, thank god we have Fantasea II to hold us over during the wait
Is Fantasea II an EP, an album or a mixtape? And can we expect it in July like when she released Fantasea back in July 2012?

I don't want to come off as annoying, but does anyone miss the old Azealia? I don't know why, but I feel like the music she released in 2012-2013 is better than the music she's released in 2014-2016? Like.. I was listening to the 1991 EP and the Fantasea mixtape and when you compare it to BWET/Slay-Z, you notice a big difference. 1991/Fantasea is more fun and bright while BWET/Slay-Z is more dark. Don't get me wrong, I love BWET & Slay-Z, but I really miss her 2012 sound.

Personally, I use songs such as **** Up The Fun, Atlantis, Fierce, Esta Noche, Luxury, Chasing Time, Soda, The Big Big Beat, Along The Coast, Count Contessa than songs such as Big Talk, Yung Rapunzel, Skylar Diggins, Desperado, etc.
I hope she goes back to rapping over crazy pop/EDM/dance beats. I miss those days.

I wasn't shading Big Talk or any other track on BWET/Slay-Z. I love BWET/Slay-Z. I'm just saying that I prefer her 2012/2013 sound than her current sound. I still love her music.

I know what you mean OnikaChrist. I feel like her 2012 sound (YR and No Problems were her only good songs in 2013) was far more straightforward but in a fresh way? That isn't the case with Slay-Z. I love BWET too but the lyrics, flow and overall delivery was too experimental esp with the whole non-sensical, Caroll Lewis, fable (which I'm still perched for hihi) bs.

I've said this before and I'll say it again: Slay-Z was unnecessary in every sense of the word. She should've just released Along the Coast with some bomb-ass video to go with it (something like Britney's Break The Ice)

Also she need apologise for making Machinedrum feel so left out I miss him!

I mean 2012 overall was a great year, even her beefs were well-warranted and supported. It all began to crumble with the first Perez incident, the abuse she was getting from her boyfriend (Troy or something he's Gaga's ex-manager) and Interscope shelving her. She did say that an ex and his girlfriend put a hex on her that year too.

It annoys me that B&P may come before Fantasea II because that mean summer is cancelled

Didn't she say that she wouldn't release it before F2? I remember the KB getting angry because she said Playhouse (from B&P) wouldn't be released until 2017?

Lol nooo, I disagree with you all. 1991 EP & Fantasea were great but you can tell she was definitely an artist still experimenting and discovering herself. I won't have anyone come for BWET lyrics & flow when back in 2012 she was all "whip to the dip to the hip to the zip to the nip to the cl*t pop the zit with little bambi looking like a banji" phase. That 212 flow reappeared one too many times aswell. 1991, 212, Liquorice, Jumanji, Luxury and Esta Noche are the only truly amazing songs from both projects. Whereas BWET is perfect from start to finish. Fantasea hasn't stood up well for me, I find most of the songs really kitschy.

Slay-Z feels like a misstep because of how everything was handled. It tarnished the whole thing for me, the messiest release yet. It's so undercooked and mastered poorly. I hope she gets her sh*t together for Fantasea II, speaking of which, I don't think it's coming this year now. She mentioned touring Slay-Z over the Summer and I keep seeing Fave Brigade members like "Give us B&P first!!!!1" no b*tch because FII won't f*cking happen but it seems she's a fan of this idea.

I'm glad that someone agrees with me. I still love Azealia and her current music, but I personally think that her 2012 material was way better and more enjoyable.

Yeah. 2012 was the best year of Azealia's career, to date. 212 was still slaying, 1991 EP, Fantasea mixtape, music videos for Liquorice, 1991, Luxury, Atlantis & Fierce, numerous festival appearances, partnership with ASOS. She really had it all back then. It all started to go downhill in 2013.
And what is this I hear about an abusive relationship?

Poor your flop taste. And do NOT come for Azealia's 2012 flow when that's what made us stan for her in the first place. All I'm saying is that I hope she goes back to rapping over pop/EDM/dance beats because that's what makes her different compared to the other rap girls. The Big Big Beat, Used To Being Alone & Along The Coast was a step in the right direction. I want her to start making songs like that again.

Btw, while Slay-Z feels like a misstep, I'm still really grateful. God knows when Azealia is going to actually release her next full body of work (album), so I'm happy we have Slay-Z to hold us over.

She better not be lying when she said Fantasea II comes out summer. I'm not waiting until end of 2017 for new Azealia music
