Nice! Don't know why, but this quote got me feeling some kind of way:
Quote:
Minho also shows love for another group he left behind, Block B, as the 21-year-old almost debuted as a part of the male outfit under a different label years ago. "I feel with WINNER, I found home," Minho says. "Block B was a cherished memory and a good experience with the practice. No regrets. But really, it's about WINNER. I found home with WINNER. So this is a real debut."
OMFG I forgot today is the day for company stan wars...it looks like its a WIN for YG as they didn't lose money for messed up taxes!!!

SM Entertainment made 129,055,774,822 KRW (approximately 127 million USD) this year, up 20.73% from last year's 106,893,380,255 KRW (approximately 105 million USD). In terms of business profits, they made 10,171,639,829 KRW (approximately 10 million USD), 16.47% higher than last year. In terms of pure profits, the company suffered a loss of 10,253,914,440 KRW (approximately 10.1 million USD). However, this was not because the company did badly, but because they had to pay an extra 10.2 billion KRW in business taxes after investigations.
YG Entertainment made 77,295,461,023 KRW (approximately 76 million USD), up 27.9% from last year. Their business profits were at 13,157,527,967 KRW (approximately 13 million USD), up 11.5% from last year. Their pure profits rose 2.1% since last year at 9,842,623,996 KRW (approximately 9.7 million USD).
JYP Entertainment made 16,524,662,185 KRW (approximately 16 million USD) in the first half of 2014. Their business profits were at 842,899,408 KRW (approximately 832,000 USD), and their pure profits were at 35,231,428 KRW (approximately 35,000 USD). However, these numbers can't be compared to last year's fairly because JYP Entertainment recently merged with one of its subsidiaries.
In total, the three big companies made 222,875,898,041 KRW (approximately 220 million USD), making about 1 trillion KRW (approximately 987 million USD) more than in 2013.
Once JYP releases GODS7's first full-length album I'm sure their luck will improve.
Didn't y'all say that for the first Got7 mini, then with Sunmi, then with 15&, then with Got7's second mini, then with Yenny???? It won't happen and will never happen. JYP is over. GOT7 is a flop as they are up against BTS, Block B, and soon Team B who have actual good rappers and not trying to take people from around the world to try to form a universally appealing group. Maybe JYP will learn that gimmicks get old and looks don't get people to buy music.
How is JYP making so little money?
I thought 2PM were racking in decent cash from Japan
I guess they're spending money quicker than they're making it. Even international commercial behemoths like 2PM can't single-handedly save a sinking ship. But as long as they're spending what money they do make on the groups I use it doesn't matter how poorly the company as a whole performs. They should just go ahead and disband 15&, 2AM and miss A and be done with it.

sis bye...
i dont want Miss A or 2pm to disband...
your groups should go ahead and disband
While we all acknowledge that JYP has been majorly reaching to stay afloat lately, he does tend to give his artists a larger portion of the company's earnings than most. So.
I mean, if you have any doubts, look at the money Suzy's making now vs. how much TVXQ were making in their prime based on that leaked contract.
