Poll Put Up To Decide Third Single Of Of Rose
Pop sensation, Katy Perry, has put up a label to determine which song off of her album, Rose, should be the third single. Fans can click the link below and choose an option that is up, or can pick Other and post in the comments which one they'd think do well/their general favorite. Here are the song details and the link below.
Roses (feat Selena Gomez):
Produced by Stargate with a nice, summery feel, the two girls sing well together and it's a sweet bop.
Boyfriend (feat Icona Pop):
A few months back, duo Icona Pop posted a tweet claiming that producers Diplo and Shellback were making a monster hit, and it involved Katy. This is the said song. With mostly a club feel similarly sounding to "I Love It" also including the sass.
Double Rainbow:
If the song existed back during the Teenage Dream days, it'd probably make the cut. This love (and sex) anthem, which can also be mistaken (or chosen) as a self impowerment song for the gays, ala Let There Be Love. It was made by her main team, Max Martin, Bonnie McKee, and Dr. Luke, but also includes a credit by her.
It Takes Two:
Possibly the slowest choice, it's a downtempo break up song, about a relationship and realizing it took two for that to happen. Also includes a writing credit by Emeli Sande.
Disconnected (feat Ellie Goulding):
This track, with formally signed artist Ellie Goulding, could slaughter lives if properly handled. Accompanied by a amazing video and it's haunting but surreal production, it'd do great. Both girls wrote it together. It is funny though that its an option, since Perry claimed she didn't want to release it after Ellie left and "it wouldn't be fair".

The Critics Have Spoken: 'My Truth' Reviews
Overall, Miley has received fantastic reviews from big music critics! Here's what they had to say.
Miley has managed to re-invent herself while maintaining her Pop roots. Her music matures, and her vocals expand. Lyrically, the album is quite a masterpiece. Production-wise, the album is done in very good quality. And vocally, Miley hits all the notes. This album ticks all the boxes for what it takes to become a successful album, and a well-remembered album. I would recommend this album to many people because it is fit for many types of audiences. A job well done! (4.4/5)

1. Miley Cyrus - My Truth
Miley is our favorite album this year so far with her latest release of 'My Truth.' In her new release, she opens up about becoming a new artist with crazy collaborations, catchy choruses and plenty of heart. This new album showcases Miley and her team's great usage of production, lyrics and vocals all around. Overall, this album is a puzzle piece fit together very well. One thing that is so special about this album, is that there are no "fillers"... Each track fits in place perfectly having its own purpose that forms a project so smooth. Amazing work. (85/100)

Miley Cyrus re-marks her spot in the music industry by devliering an amazing album. I admire how the album has a mix of music, but with a sound foundation that brings a particular vibe to each album. The tracks are gutsy, intense and lyrically loud. A must-have buy! (84/100)

Miley Cyrus releases an outstanding album this year. Marking this to be one of the best albums this year, Miley is in for one crazy ride. Her album is filled with potential chart topping smashes, yet haunting and creative album tracks to complete a true story. Overall, Miley could have one of the biggest eras this year in music. Rihanna reveals Controversial "Diamonds" Video On VH1's video countdown.
Rihanna recently guest starred on VH1's TOP 20 video countdown (in which Jump placed #7). Rihanna however debuted the video of her new single, "Diamonds" right before the #1 video was announced description below.
The video begins with Rihanna (with red weave) laving on the floor with a bloodied lip and covered in glass with cuts and bruises, dead. She's wearing a torn button up dress shirt and looks a mess. Her apartment is a mess with broken drawers, beer, wine and stained carpet everywhere. She looks around and slowly gets up before she picks up a blunt, rolls it with diamonds (the only thing I copied from the real vid gimme a break) and begins to smoke it. As she does the lyrics begin. As "shine bright like a diamond" plays you see the broken glass reform into a mirror and the apartment turns into a decent looking apartment.
Then the camera zooms back in on Rihanna, wearing a white blouse, navy blazer and matching pants getting up from the floor. She smiles as a well dressed man walks in the apartment with a briefcase and he gives her a hug. Then it begins to show clips of their relationship (Them having fun at the beach, laughing at a diner and kissing in their room, It begins happy but by the chorus it turns into a bit of a rocky relationship. He takes a sip of wine, and the camera zooms in on his cup, showing it refilling, emptying and refilling 4 times. In between this it shows scenes of Rihanna lying on a rock at the beach as waves hit the shores in a beautiful dress (pic below) singing the lyrics emotionally.

The video then shows Rihanna taking a bottle away from the guy, who protests and the two of them get into an altercation where they yell and he shoves her to the ground (which is shown in slow mo). As the second verse begins the scene changes to them having a picnic outside in the pitch black and looking up at the stars. They lay on the picket blanket and look up at the stars as Rihanna begins to fall asleep. However when she wakes up in bed (with a black eye) in a white t-shirt and sweat pants she realizes it was all just a memory.
She then walks into her bathroom as the second chorus begins. The looks in the mirror (which is floor length as she take of her shirt and pants and views herself in the mirror. She sees bruises all over herself and then the mirror shows two figures, The Old her (in her business attire) and the new battered her. As she turns fro mthe mirror and puts on an old button up shirt of his she hears banging on the door and her boyfriend brakes in. They argue and he hits her, however she crawls out the bathroom and begins to run away but he chases her as the bridge plays. She runs to the kitchen where he follows but as he goes to hit her again she takes a bottle of alcohol and knocks it over his head, knocking him unconscious. She runs out of the room in hysterics and ends up tripping a beer can and smashing through the mirror and lies still. The music stops there.
In black and white, you see things through Rih's perspective for a little while, with blurred vision. She struggles to open her eyes and get up and she sees her boyfriends jacket right in front of her with a ***** in it. She opens it and it see's a Diamond ( ) ring and looks in shock. That's when things turn back to color. The final chorus begins playing as you see Rihanna (still in jsut a button up shirt) running towards the beach (she can barely see, it' like 1 am with nobody around) with tears in her eyes. As her dramatic belt plays she throws the Diamond into the water. She begins to cry and hunches over as tears flow down her face and she groans. As the song ends however, her first twists in shock, as she turns around and sees her boyfriend. Staring right at her with an exasperated expression in pure shock. The video ends with her taking a step back, cornered by the man she once loved.

Ok lemme explain,
I normally have singles for two/three weeks, Perfect Memory got a second week but it didn't chart so I dropped it and went on to the next one. I was also tired of it.
Turn The Lights Out has been on a lot of TV shows already, everyone else releases singles like this (in a sense) so no.

Critics Pan Rihannas's Diamonds Video.
Rihanna's new video for her song "Diamonds" has just been released and it's already causing a media stir. Rihanna's video features her and an abusive boyfriends' tumultuous relationship, but critics disagree with the messages of the video and dragged Rihanna for it's substance manner.
Huffington Post:

Rihanna's new video for Diamonds started with potential, but then it just became grotesque. Rihanna and her lover get into a near fatal physical altercation that knocks the two of them unconscious. Rihanna then wakes up, find a ring he was going to propose to her with and runs by herself in the middle of the night to throw it into the ocean at a local beach. However, standing alone on the peir, Rihanna comes to the brutal realization that her boyfriend was following her this whole time. The video ends with her trapped, no where to run and trying to back away from him.
This part ruined what could of been a perfect ending. It turne the video from meaningful to morbid and is an extreme disappointment.

Rihanna continues to milk her physical altercation with Chris Brown FOUR YEARS AGO, for all it's worth. In this video Rihanna plays a victim yet again in a n abusive relation ship. Thsi video leaves us saying "What does this have to do with shining like diamonds?". In actuality, the video does not shine bright and is a dull attempt by Rihanna obtaining public sympathy for "The Incident." Rihanna will probably defend this video under the guise of being "ARTISTIC" but her true intentions are clear, and shameful. Unfortunately, #RihannaTheVictim strikes again.
|
Also, after this article was printed #RihannaTheVictim trended on twitter WW. The tagline features people dissing her and her fans defending her. No word from Rih's team on the backlash for her video her video.
|
Gasp, Rih is getting no love from the critics.

I added the diamond bit at the end to tie relevance to the song.

Carlos Pena rocks "Music Station" Japan for first Televised "Patience" performance.
Carlos recently visited the Japanese hit show "Music Station" to perform his song "Patience" which is already #4 on Itunes WW. Carlos began sitting on a stool with an acoustic vibe to the song. But at the chorus is band went off and he got up and began singing. His voice sound slick but amazing on all the versus and it was powerful as he jumped up and down and sang the chorus. At the end fo the performance the audience cheered and Carlos smiled and winked at the camera.

Namie Amuro Gets Interview On Alan Carr's Chatty Man & Performs New Single
Today Namie Amuro came on Alan Carr's show, Chatty Man to perform her latest single What A Feeling as well as sit down with Alan himself for a short interview before performing. Below's a recap!
Interview
Alan: Finally the fabulous Namie Amuro is on my show, on my stage, gracing me with her presence, how are you feeling gorgeous
Namie: *Chuckles* Thank you for having me Alan, Im good im sooo in love with the UK and its people and places, i should've moved here instead of the states!
Alan: We're so in love with you too love! Now now tell me about this fabulous new album you have out called the...Amuro Experience. I've had it on repeat all day my ears have never felt so happy
Namie: Well it's my first overseas album and all in English! It features all my greatest hits, new and old, remastered to let everyone outside my fandom get to know me and the type of artist I'am. And apparently from you it's also a nice way to please your ears
Alan: Well from what i've heard this tells me you are one talent Artist! Now there's a song on the album that features your label mate i believe? Jolin Tsai? Tell Us about that one!
Namie: Thank you! Umm well the track i recorded with Jolin Tsai was actually suppose to be my anticipated collab with Lady Gaga but you know her....unpredictable at is's best....and worse. So instead i wasn't gonna let this song go to waste and decided why not collab with Jolin? She fist the song perfect and it'd be great exposure for her and her upcoming single!
Alan: So thoughtful and from listening to it i can tell you all to watch out for Jolin, she was fire on this collab. So next on, Lets talk about your Upcoming tour, The Experience.
Namie: Yea she's really great and her discography is amazing you should check her out. As for my tour, it's my first world tour...the first time i haven't just toured all of japan *chuckle* so it means a lot to me and the fans and i can assure you this tour is out of their world, it's a visual masterpiece honestly/ No dates have been released yet but be on the look out
Alan: Ooo u have chills already. Soo before you leave to perform one last question. People have been discussing about your Teen Choice Awards nomination and how they felt you were snubbed. We wanna know YOUR thoughts!
Namie :*Sighs* Oh boy this just turned into Oprah *laughs* Okay here's how i see it, im thankful for my nomination because even thought it isn't music related it's still something important, hosting Britneys Career funeral meant a lot to me and to see people appreciate it, is enough for me to have a smile on my face. BUT The fact i was snubbed in every other category just shows how intimidated everyone else in this industry is about me. Congrats to Miley & Bieber getting nominations THEY DESERVED and also to Shakira, yea she saw my tweets in a wrong light but you know she deserves it as well. However there are some artist i wont name that shouldn't be nominated but you know get them pity votes!
The Performance
The stage was with Namie on top of the stairs back to the audience as her dancers were on the stage in street mesh outfits. The Screens around the stage starts playing horizontal neon bars of all colors flashing and the stairs lit up different colors as well as green spotlights roamed the stage. She begins swaying a bit seductive as the beat plays then the 1st verse hits and she twirls around facing the audience and walks down the stairs posing at every step while singing. When she gets off the steps she goes strutting to the front of the stage singing to the audience. She turns around snapping her fingers jamming before going into choreo. The chorus starts and she does the choreo along the dancers. 2nd verse hits and the stage lights in the back on the floor start flashing, they change and the floor starts beaming up white lights in certain parts. Namie flips her hair walking up the stairs again in time for the chorus, when she sings it smokes shoots out by her side as she does her choreo. The bridge hits and namie does a freestyle on the stairs as the stage flashes, the crowd goes crazy as she ends on a split. The chours comes back and namie slowly raises back up before confetti shoots out and she similes singing to the crowd. Her & her dancers freeze in robotic poses as the outro beat plays.

Carlos and "Patience" Guest In Gillette Ad.
Carlos has only been signed to " #DiamondsRecordingStudios " 2 days and they have already got him a major endorsment. The ad begins with a bunch of sexy girls and hot shirtless guys partying as Patience plays around a pool. Carlos walks through in a Hoodie, covering his entire upper body. Then a hot girl in a blue bikini and jean shorts eyes him and smiles as she prances over and yanks open his sweater and it falsl off. Revealing an extremely hairy chest, stomach and so much back hair they formed dreadlocks. All the girls scream and run away, causing all the guys to glare at him as he leaves.
The ad then features a man and Carlos in the bathroom with Gillette's new razor with SHAVES AND TRIMS. The guy then sprays shaving cream on Carlos and then begins to shave. The next scene then shows Carlos walking out of the bathroom with a smile. Then he walks back out and gets in his limo and goes to the club. He'swearing a button up white shirt as the same girl sees him and rips open his shirt. Revealing his perfectly trimmed body hair. The girls looks at him with pure lust and drags him into the bathroom, kissing him frantically,
At The end of the ad Patience plays again and it features Carlos sitting on a chair with the girl in his lap smiling. He says "New Gillette Razors. The answer to all your girl problems."
