I do remember Usher dissing Jason Derulo, Jay Sean and Taio Cruz back in early 2010 or late 2009 when some reporters asked how he thought about their R&B tracks and he said that's not real R&B.
Well it wasn't a diss from his point of view, but you know how the media are. Anyways, even despite that, both Sean and Derulo didn't diss him back, despite haters calling him out on OMG.
Now compare that to Trey or Chris. Its amusing seeing them struggle in mainstream after their short experience in it.

But people calling Jason Derulo and Taio R&B singers are just stupid. They make pop music, not even close to real rnb

I agree, if Usher were to pass away, Chris and Trey would jump on the I love Usher bandwagon. Miguel's sound isn't similar to Usher anymore but he always says that Usher inspires him, same with DeRulo and Eric. Trey got a big head and he started thinking he was better than everyone and look where it got him.

Trey is just stupid especially since Usher jump started his career by putting him on his tour

I definitely agree, but reporters starting crap is still reason enough for people to attack others. You can tell, despite their pop music, they have some elements of R&B in them, especially Derulo, no matter how much I dislike his music.
Bieber is another. What a wasted piece of white meat. He could've gone places that even Usher couldn't have, just because of the color of his skin.

Yeah I don't think what he said was bad, it's just the media trying it.

Yeah Jason does have some elements of R&B music.
Justin's personality ruined by fame. I just can't listen to his music because of his arrogant personality. But do you really think Usher would've been bigger if he was white?

I don't know, maybe, maybe not.
What I can say though, is that Bieber being white and being the product of factorized mainstream popstar, he could've gone places such as Hollywood, politics, and more, something that Usher couldn't have through his life based on his upbringing, his values, his passion and his core.
Miley Cyrus being another one. What I'm trying to say is that Bieber was molded to have potential in almost everything. Usher was just a kid who had to work his ass off with the help of his mother to get to where he is now.

Why is atrl so quick to make assumptions on him? I know they're not into male artists but it's so funny when Ush gets underestimated and then he proves everyone wrong.

Its only the minority who complain about Usher. I mean sure L4M didn't sell as well, but we are at a time where album sales are declining and singles are rising. "Scream" still went top 10 and the mainstream still like and remember him by.
I really think if Usher caters only to the urban audience, he will forever be put into the same box as R. Kelly. He has pop fans too. What, we're just going to forget everyone who prefers his dance/up-tempo tracks just because it's not sustainable? Lets not forget his last couple of top 10 hits now people...

I mean, I'm not saying he should make more generic music and "sell-out", but people who keep saying "DO ANOTHER CONFESSIONS!" ... c'mon now...
"Climax" could've be big on pop radio had he let it. Same with "I Care for U"

Yeah I agree. I'm glad he hasn't tried to recreate Confessions, that was a once in a lifetime thing and I don't get why some people keep putting these ridiculous expectations on him. Everyone flops and he isn't an exception, and I like how he has always changed everything up with every era, his sound, image, and theme is different and that's why he is still successful.

I agree with you guys. I am glad that Usher is over Confessions. This is why he is still relevant. I also noticed that his REAL stans don't want him to go back to the Confessions era...
