The album can only be a Tidal exclusive for one day! As long as its released between Friday-Monday, sales wont hurt that much. I'm here for it being streaming exclusive to Tidal for a long while, but actually being a total exclusive is redundant.

the best scenario would be:

24-28 - beyonce tidal exclusive (streaming only)
29-05 - beyonce on sale, drake apple exclusive (streaming only)
06 - drake on sale

that would give a chance to bey be #1 on tracking week 29-05 and drake week later.

I know Apple and Tidal don't like each other, but maybe Bey and Drake talk to this and make it possible?

I want NO Tidal exclusive. Obviously it can be available for purchase and streaming on there, but not exclusively. It's dumb. Exclusive deals with anything that isn't iTunes is stupid tbh. The platform isn't big enough for that, it's a waste.

But how can any other platform grow to that level if you don't build it up?

Listen, I don't want the album to be Tidal exclusive any less than you but the only way for it to grow into a bigger pawn in the industry is to have all these 'exclusives'. You can't let Apple win all the time just because it's already the biggest.

She's given them plenty of exclusive content since it's creation, but giving them her entire album is damaging to her career and is a stupid career move. Look what happened to Anti. It would be doing a lot better had Tidal not been involved tbh.

TIDAL got Formation. But it sucks knowing in the back of my head that there is STILL a 90% chance it'll go there first. Why can't both sides win? TIDAL gets the streaming exclusive [no Spotify or apple music] BUT the album will be for sale at the same time?
