I still prefer the other version of realiti tbh but I don't totally hate this new one. So far the only song I REALLY like is pin but I may grow into other songs and I am sure the HQ versions will help.

I can't at how basic the new Realiti is. She just replaced the mysterious vibe of the song with a generic beat.
Definitely sticking with the flawless demo.

Soooo listened to all of it now and idk tbh, not sure about it. I was totally expecting a more radio friendly sound because that almost always happens when an artist blows up in popularity and suddenly gets access to all the best in recording studios and people to work with but this is a massive change.

I mean it certainly isn't a mainstream pop album, I am sure plenty of angry fans will claim it is but it isn't at all. Still all the songs are quite accessible and seem to have a more generic formation than a lot of her older work.

So far I really liked Pin, World Princess pt. II and Venus Fly. I am sure REALiTi would be on that list to if I hadn't heard the origional demo before. Also quite liked Scream, Flesh Without Blood, Kill V Main, Life In The Vivid Dream and Butterfly

I don't really think any of the songs are bad, there are just a few that didn't leave much of an impression on me but albums usually grow on me so we'll see. Non of it for me really gets close to the best of visions for me but it's in no way a bad album, it's just different.

David would have been a good addition and I would rather she had just tried to recreate REALiTi as it was if she couldn't have just put that demo on the album. I still don't understand what was supposed to be wrong with it, other than the vocals maybe being a little less clear than they could have been.

This album knocks.

I read that she depraved herself basically, making Visions. And that makes so much sense. That album is pretty damn good for my first Grimes album. I wanna see more about her making that album. A drug/no sleep mind can create Chaos.

But Art Angels is my 2nd album of hers now, and it's like, the sober version of Visions (or marijuanna injection type vibe ), but with more Oomph to the melodies..

I need to listen to the first 2 albums

I like Halfaxa more than visions personally, but it's very dark and really out there; so not everyone will give it enough listens before it hits them. Geidi Primes is basically a mixtape >.> it has a few cute songs but it's a prime example of what she means when she says she feels like Art Angels is her first real album.
