Here's why it makes much more sense to help these people out where they come from. If you have a couple minutes, it's a good watch. It never hurts to hear the other side of things, even if it's not your cup of tea.

This would make sense if Turkey wouldn't have already accepted 2 Million and Lebanon another 1.4 Million

I found that video very informative, I think in this situation it is different because of isis. Many people are fearful of their lives, and it's not just poverty, but safety. I may be wrong but however this video did change my view on a few things thanks for sharing.

I believe that this is about the safety of the immigrants however Greece, and other countries like that may not be able to support any immigrants since they have a hard time supporting themselves. I think that is what she/he is trying to say.

they are related. these migrants would literally starve in these poor easter european countries

It's not like they are 1000. Hundreds of thousands of people would never have normal conditions of life in countries like Serbia

so it's also safety.

And what about Bosnia, Bulgaria, Kosovo, Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, Serbia? Is Germany the only country capable of taking care of them. Will Germany turn them away when they can't anymore? And do the migrants even know that? They aren't being sent to Germany based on over-capacity

True, ISIS complicates things, so I guess the main takeaway from the video is that Germany can take as many refugees as it wants, but it isn't doing anything to stop the wars they are coming from. It's impossible to save them all, and Germany is essentially allowing those with the most wealth and drive to easily abandon their nation which will only perpetuate the war and cause even more suffering for those left behind. So not only is there the possibility of sleeper cells, but also the opportunity for extremists to rally in Syria, which increases the risk of extremist infiltrators entering Europe.
