Azealia Performs on X Factor UK
Flying to the UK to promote her single Metamorph, Azealia Banks was fresh off the boat ready to perform when she arrived to the studio. With success already in the UK, Azealia was more than a superstar in this land away from home. The crowd was wild for Azealia. Before performing, Azealia signed autographs outside of the studio. Along with this, Azealia visited lots of locations within the London area, posting pictures on her Instagram. With the world knowing where Azealia was and what she was doing, everyone and their mama knew to watch X Factor UK tonight. Tweeted beforehand (in a twit longer), Azealia told all her followers about the performance she would give, "I can't wait to perform on X Factor UK! I am truly a blessed performer and a grateful person in general. I promise not to disappoint. Wow, can you believe how far I've come? I sure can't. I love all of you guys. Please tune in. This will be the first time X Factor UK will air in the US on basic cable networks. Such a big moment for me! Eek! And the music video coming after? Crazy! I worked so hard on all of this and the fact that this will all be coming to you guys is insane. I love you guys and I hope you guys are hype because I am! Just remember, watch X Factor UK tonight and afterwards the music video for Metamorph will premiere! Lights, camera, action! Love you guys xox, Azealia." The letter received thousands upon thousands of retweets and favorites.
Azealia's performance on X Factor UK was sponsored by Givenchy. Azealia's entire outfit was Givenchy. From the gown and belt to the gold tips on her toe nails, Azealia was adorned in Givenchy. The outfit was glamorous, slightly referencing ancient Egypt, like Cleopatra. Azealia's hair was in two high pig tails, similar to those Left Eye wore in No Scrubs. Along with this, Azealia had a straight bang going across her face. Azealia had gold makeup. Metallic gold eyeliner made a cat like swoop from her eye, extending to the cheekbone and swirling upwards, in Egyption fashion. Azealia's lips were painted a glossy nude tone that shone bright beneath the spotlight. Her lips were outlined by a gold metallic lip liner. To finish off the face, Azealia had large and extravagant gold hoops and white out contacts, leaving her blind. The outfit Azealia had on was skin tight gold dress, which later ripped to become a pantsuit. The gold dress was tightly wrapped around Azealia, leaving little to no imagination. With a ribbed texture and gold metal bands wrapping around her, Azealia gave the illusion of being a princess of ancient Egypt. For shoes, Azealia had gold sandals encrusted with diamonds and tipped toe nails.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome the beautiful, talented, amazing, Azealia Banks." is what the announcer said as the crowd cheered leaving one watching go deaf. The crowd was so loud that you could barely hear yourself think. It was truly a moment to show off Azealia's power though. A moment one will always remember who watched. "Crazy" is what TIME magazine said of the rambunctious crowd. Azealia rose from the stage, smoke flowing out and covering it. Azealia's arms were set apart as if she was holding two weights keeping them parallel from eachother. With her nose up and face looking forward, Azealia looked as if she ruled the world. Giving a sense of opulence. When you saw Azealia in that moment, you knew she was about to give the world something amazing. She was about to deliver a good performance. A true performance. Something every artist should give. If one thought it through and paid enough attention, they would've noticed the head microphone Azealia adorned, making it prevalent that Azealia would be doing choreography for this performance, something she has yet to do for the other performances of Metamorph. Everyone was watching, waiting for Azealia to deliver. The cheering went on for an insane 1 minute. Reports say some in the crowd even fainted.
A whining sound of a violin played as the crowd silenced, Azealia's eyes were shut, showing the intricate design done by her eyeliner. She moved her waist around as the violin player approached Azealia, keeping her feet in the same place and not opening her eyes. The violin player wore Givenchy as well, dressed in gold to match the performance's theme. The backdrop of the performance was CGI pyramids rotating in the desert. After the violin finished, the beat dropped and Azealia began to move to the rhythm. Azealia sung the first verse as 4 dancers rose from the stage, wearing similar outfits to fit the theme. Azealia sung and the crowd did as well. During some parts, you could hear the crowd through your televsion. During the first chorus, Azealia did a cartwheel and finished off with a front split, leading to more applause. Cirque du soleil dancers appeared behind Azealia as she sung the rest of Metamorph, never skipping a beat or slowing down. The entire song was done live, not once was there even a backing vocal. After the last verse, the violin player came back and Azealia was walked off by two muscular men, shirtless and sprayed gold. The violin player ended the performance. With even more applause, the performance was over. What came across the screen next was "Prepare in 5...4...3...2...1" The music video for Metamorph was then played and immediately uploaded to VEVO (Music Video article coming next)
Azealia's performance on X Factor UK was hailed by critics everywhere as "art" and "beautiful" The performance was uploaded to YouTube where it has sense gained a significant amount of traction. The video's premier led to everyone running to their computer to rewatch the piece. When asked about the concept of the performance Azealia said "Well I wanted to do something very different from my music video and this is it. I am so proud of it!" BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS BY KATY PERRY ON "GOOD MORNING AMERICA"
She's back! Only few days after she signed to Innovation Records, Katy Perry is taking the music industry by storm! After her three years-break since PRISM, Katy calls the fans to take the next journey with her. The most impressive thing? The genre of her new album. The second most impressive thing? Her lead single!
Katy Perry, dressed kinda casually, arrived at the Times Square in 8 o'clock. Many fans were waiting outside just for an autograph, Katy didn't let them down. She was very emotional and showed her unconditional love with her fans. Katy entered the building and the hosts welcomed Katy at the studio for her very first tv interview after the end of the PRISM era. She was there. She was ready to start her new era. One hour before that, Katy tweeted:
"@katyperry: I'm not a morning person...BUT: watch ME in 1 hour on GMA! I'm waiting you at the Times Square NY CATS! #Announcements"
Katy sat down and immediately said: "I can't believe I'm here. I remember when I made my first announcements for my last album in that particular studio, whoa, how time passes. I'm so exciiited"
Host: we're so happy to have you here, and I'm so excited of the announcements you're gonna do, I already know them, so I feel very special.
Katy: Yes! I like you guys, you knew that I was coming here
Host: Well, first of all. Tell me about the things you did these 2,5-3 years. What happened? Because you know, everyone was expecting your new album like two years ago.
Katy: Listen. Ah, after finishing the prismatic tour, I wanted to REST. It was the most successful female tour of the year back then, as my manager told me, I trust him haha, and I was so proud of everyone who worked on that show. We spread the light, we travelled the world, I met new people, new civilizations, I learnt many things from these places, countries, people. It was an unforgettable experience. After doing the SuperBowl and winning my first Grammy with Dark Horse and finishing the prismatic tour, I was exhausted. I added the Asian dates and the South America dates because I wanted every katycat, every fan comes to my show, I love receiving love and spreading it, too.
Host: so you finish all these and...
Katy: and I I'm like "enough. Now you must rest. You'll come back later.". And I did it. A bit late but yeah...
Host: When did you decide to come back? Like thinking that "resting: enough. Back to work now"
Katy: Six months ago. I had already decided to leave Capitol records and become an innovation records member. I went to Alex's office and I told him "let's start." He looked at me and he smiled, then I went home and called some rrreeallly special people, you'll meet them in the following days. They came at my home the following weekend and I told them "you'll live here for the following months. I'm gonna pay you well. We're gonna make an album.". They were like "wtf" but i persuaded them. My mom's food helped in this a lot.
Host: So did you start making the album?
Katy: Umm yeah, we sat down and analyzed a lot, we talked about music, society, politics, world, crime, nature, everything. We were eating and talking. And...playing video games. One week later, we came up with some projects for the album. We selected the best one. And I'm so ready to represent it proudly.
Host: Could you tell us the names of the people you kept hostages in your house?
Katy: (laughing). Well, yeah. Ellie Goulding, Sia furler, Calvin Harris, David guetta, Benny blanco, Zedd, Greg Wells, Stargate, Danja, Kacey Musgraves.
Host: are you making a dance-pop-country album?
Katy: hahah no, don't worry, I'm not takin' it too far, calm down, the album will be a dance pop album. I was so thirsty for Kacey's songwriting skills though, that's why she was in my house.
Host: So when is the album coming and the most important thing, what is its name?
Katy: January 4 and the album's name is "Forbidden". I'm so happy, I literally can't wait.
Host: Can the fans pre order the album already?
Katy: yes! It's on pre order now on iTunes, Amazon and the rest of the legal digital sources. More details about the album will be coming every day.
Host: why did you choose the name "Forbidden"?
Katy: I'm not revealing this today John, I told you that before backstage so don't..bitch.
Host: haha okay, I should try better next time... but you have to answer this one. Dance pop album? By Katy Perry? Really?
Katy: you know I couldn't dance very satisfying before BUT, for more than 3 months, I keep practicing and practicing every day. You know what? I don't want another pure pop album. I have already a kinda Rock album, I wanted something knew. I love dance pop music. I love how people move their bodies in the clubs into these songs. I wanted to make something like this. I don't know if it's be a successful attempt, but I will not have the thoughts in the future like "bitch, you never did a dance pop album, now you're an old fugly who feeds her cats and can do nothing"
Host: I totally understand. Now tell me about the lead single which is coming....
Katy: Tomorrow! The lead single of my new album will be available on iTunes, Amazon etc tomorrow and available in local stores, Target and Walmart mainly, in physical copies in two days! I can't wait for people to listen to it. BUT, I could not leave this studio without a snippet, right John? C'mon maestro(in Italian pronunciation).
Then, Katy's new song flooded into the studio and the Times Square. Fans outside were dancing, Katy, too. The 20 seconds snippet was a dance pop song and Katy was singing it. When the snippet ended, the host said "wow. Someone's coming for blood". Katy responded: "I'm not about the blood John, you know me", winking her eye.
To sum up, Katy's album is coming on January 4 and will be dance pop, featuring some of the greatest dance producers in the world and it's available for pre order digitally. Katy's lead single is coming tomorrow and is a dance pop anthem, ready to happen. Katy Perry is back.

Billboard Magazine: The Second Coming of Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus covers the new issue of Billboard magazine.
With Miley Cyrus predicted to take over the Billboard charts the next year, it’s only appropriate they feature her for the cover of their latest magazine issue.
Cyrus released her highly anticipated new single “D.U.I.,” yesterday morning after an early demo version of the track surfaced on the net the day before.
“We originally wrote it for another artist, but when Miley heard the track during a studio session she liked it and we offered it for her,” Benny Blanco, one of the producers and writers of the track revealed.
“I have been obsessing with music lately, and not in the way of listening exactly, but in the way of learning, so when I heard the demo of the song I really fell in love with it because it described what I felt in a really fun, enjoyable way. Even though it’s pure pop, it still has meaning inside of it. I know most of the dance track talk about music and the DJ stuff but I believe this track is different,” Miley explained, “When you first hear it you may think it’s about partying, but it’s more than that.”
Miley Cyrus’ fifth studio album is eyeing a 2015 release, which also features new collaborations and new producers, “Working on music is the most fun part in my life, I never get bored,” Shellback, one of the main producers for the album said, “Miley’s passion with her music inspires me to work harder with her, when you have a person really devoted and dedicated to something you don’t want to disappoint them. I rarely see that excitement with artists and Miley distinctly has that.”
“Working with Shellback has absolutely been really amazing, the chemistry in that recording studio is really vivid and expressive,” Miley said about her working with the producer, “We never have a silent moment, it’s all music and team work and it pushes me to put more effort into this project.”
“D.U.I.” is the first time Cyrus worked with Max Martin, who is known for his work with Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Ke$ha and more. “He is so professional, so amazing and so straightforward. He knows exactly what the people want and he can really convince you to try out new ways and methods in the recording studio,” Cyrus said about the collaboration, “I loved his work and I was excited to work with him, he really knows what he’s doing and I admire that about him.”
“We have given Miley control over album, after what she has done with Bangerz, we really feel confident about her taking control the new record,” Todd Rigby, first general manager of Rebuilt Records stated, “We support Miley with her experimental journey but she fully understands that she needs to put commercial supported material for the top 40 radio and we love that about her. She’s not as rebellious as her images shows, she knows how the industry works after spending nearly ten years in it and we respect that about her.”
“I still have that crazy in me. I love controversy, it’s exciting to me,” Cyrus said, “When it’s too safe it will be boring, lately the industry has become really predictable, I don’t want to assort to that. When I was young we didn’t have that, I want to bring that intense feeling back. I want people to be shocked and surprised, but I won’t repeat the things I did. I want to be unexpected in a new way.”
