If this is true, could this be a way that the Dixie Chick fans, are making there voice heard by constantly voting for this video, and jipping songs that are more deserving of a #1, like "Over My Head" (Cable Car) and "Buttons" and "Promiscious" (when it was a contender), and "Hips Don't Lie" (When it was a contender).
Is this a good theory or not?

The comment that the Dixie Chicks said was overrated and over-exaggerated by their fans. The DC were overseas (I believe in London/UK/etc?) when making the comment which led to their losses. A lot of the country music/radio/media consumer culture, from my view, has a strong republican/conservative view, and the current president as kind of seen as their hero/true leader, who knows what he's doing, and should be given full respect and trust. (Where this attitude comes about? I dunno) My hometown country radio station yanked the entire DC catalog from their playlist, as did many other stations across the US, and apparently along with CMT now. It should not suprise me that the Dixie fans are supporting their amazing Vspot run, seeing as VH1 knows the respect of a simple opinion/viewpoint about our President. VH1 is also one of the very few places I see/hear that will air the Dixie Chicks. If anything really suprises me, I'll be bewildered if they make it 10 weeks @ #1. With typing that, your theory, as I see it, is true, but they're not voting for that video with just the sole reason you stated. Also, they are not "jipping" (That's an ugly word choice imo.) the other videos on the c/d, the fans of the other artists within the VS20 are not voting as hardcore as the Dixie fans are.
