We could see it in the material for Rihanna, Britney, and also the slightly more dance sound that was found in Dr. Luke productions with Katy (Hot N Cold) and P!nk (So What).

7th #1 in 8 singles coming soon! She's unstoppable.

They're hardly minimizing her accomplishment's. They simply said that Gaga did not start the more dance trend.

Nah. That discussion started because somebody was explaining away Gaga's string of #1s on pop radio being so dance-friendly. That hasn't caused anyone else to get so many #1s in such a short period of time.

If you're talking about pop females, it's because Beyonce and Rihanna dont do pop solely. Analyzing their discographies, both release ballads, urban cuts, reggae (Rihanna) , and other non-conventional sounds that are not meant for pop radio (Rockstar 101, Ring the alarm, me myself and I, etc). As of now, Gaga has fed the public songs that have fit into a formula with similar sounding melodies and production by Red One which radio spins with ease at this point.

Well, Born This Way doesn't necessarily fit the mold of radio friendly. I mean, she says "gay," "lesbian," and "transgendered" all in the same song. That's not exactly the biggest forumla for huge success, after all. But I get your point.

Love Game, Bad Romance, and Poker Face are not what I would consider radio friendly songs at the time of their release

"Gay," "Lesbian," and "Transgendered"? It hardly makes a song less radio friendly IMO

So why does someone like Ke$ha only have two #1s on Pop? And Rihanna has had, what, 20 singles (not counting features -- you can count them, since two of her #1s are features, but then it brings her single count up to 26), the vast majority of which are pop.
There are explanations for everything, but there's no need to downplay a record that is objectively impressive any way you slice it.

Why not? Big sounds/production with catchy hooks, repeat lines and spots where one can echo "wooooahhhh". The formula to make a melody stick inside your head and not get out

Girrrrrl, no one is downplaying her success. I was simply offering my explanation and theory. She makes records that pop will spin. She has a formula and is not going to venture outside of it anytime soon.....More power to her.....Now Kesha...
