I was so stoked at first when I found out it was going to be a single. One of my favorites from "Waking Up." I'm happy it somehow (though not exactly) followed ATRM's footsteps on the US charts. This is OR's highest charting track on my yearender.
JASON DERULO
RIDIN' SOLO
Jason Derülo
Days: 27 | Peak: 01[3]
One of the major breakthrough artists this year, Jason is surely working his way to get that Timberlake superstardom he's aiming for (See "In My Head" music video). He's got one more entry coming up.
TAYLOR SWIFT
MINE
Speak Now
Days: 25 | Peak: 02
I've been pretty much vocal about my disapproval of Taylor's singing abilities especially during her "Fearless" days. But Taylor has somehow found a sweet and soft spot in my heart in her latest era. I really liked "Mine" and it is her best performing song ever on my countdown.
DAVID ARCHULETA
SOMETHING 'BOUT LOVE
The Other Side of Down
Days: 37 | Peak: 01[2]
Personally, I think this is one of the best clean-cut pop songs of the year, too bad it got ignored. David is such an amazing yet underrated artist, I hope to see more of him in the future.
JAY SEAN FEAT. SEAN PAUL & LIL JON
DO YOU REMEMBER
All or Nothing
Days: 34 | Peak: 03
Capitalizing on the success of his smash party hit "Down," Jay Sean has released this song to prove that he isnt going to be another one-hit-wonder. It sounds generic but in the grand scheme of things, I call this his best single to date.
