You guys don't want to address the main issue here. Police will never be able to predict every single possibility of how a fanatic will strike. Besides it probably all happened so quickly, in a matter of seconds. And shooting at the vehicle probably meant shooting at people that were in the way.

I don't want to address what? I spent all of last night talking about this..

The attack was made aware of. France closed their embassy knowing it was imminent. Armed forces have patrolled the country for the last eight months, especially at a heightened level during the Euros. They're now tired, and given that François just deployed 10,000 more clearly proves that more men were required to secure the country and the festivities.

A truck managed to drive 2km, killing 84, injuring 202 with 52 critical and 25 on life support.

How does that happen? It does need to be addressed, actually.

This happens in different countries and some people always manage to blame security forces. This is the same people that then complain about the extreme measures by the TSA in US airports. Stop blaming the people who aren't to blame. Who killed these people? It was not the French police who like you said have been trying to prevent this to the point of exhaustion for the last year or so. Stop saying this is the fault of guns, police, etc. There's only one to blame and if the world continues to keep a blind eye then these attacks will become more and more frequent. Always by the same suspects.

Your whole point makes no sense since you can not eradicate something a billion people in this world believe in unless you wanna kill all of them. Think before you post if you don't wanna get misunderstood.

I also despise posts like this when such tragedies happen. The first thing on your mind shouldn't be the attacker and his personal misguided views of religion, it should always be the victims.

This really sucks.. im so sorry for France.. for this to happen to them on their independence day is tragic and terrifying.. i cant imagine this happening on the 4th of July.. although this year i had a dream that there was an attack.. its just because these kind of twisted things have become more present than ever in our lives it seems.
Im actually going to be stopping by Nice on my trip later this month.. weird..

The terrorist attack in Sousse was by a Tunisian man. I don't see the point.

The people in Brussels this year were not Syrian refugees. It is speculated that a couple may have traveled or been to Syria at some point. That is completely different to someone being born there. The article is wrong.

I just learned that there was a biker who tried to stop the truck and was run over. That alone should have stopped the driver from going through with the plan because any sane person would have stopped after that, but it makes you question what kind of household this individual was raised in. Did their parents not install any humility in this individual, because his acts are very animalistic, but even with animals they don't kill for game. They kill to eat and they don't mass kill. So what kind of individual was this "person."
