I mean, if we're going to lie about it.... here's the facts. "Fortune" has sold 413,903 units in the United States compared to Trey Songz' 324,098 units for "Chapter V".
You're right though, Chris hasn't had a Platinum album since 2007, "Exclusive" was certified 2x Platinum back in 2011 so technically...... "F.A.M.E." is a couple of thousand sales away from topping the 1,000,000 sales mark. At last count it was at 910,000 units scanned in the United States but its shipments no doubt top the million mark.
But if we're going to lie.... of course you're going to be right.

Wow, I didn't know it was at 900k. I wondered why it took so long to be certified but good on him for crossing the 900k mark

Thats people asking who's more relevant Beyonce or J.lo and you bring up Keri Hilson. Have a seat before you hurt yourself.

Yes, you are. I mean you still have not answered my question on how many of your 75 and less posts are dedicated to Chris Brown. You know it's true. I post from quote to quote on almost everything because it seems like people spend all hours throughout the day commenting on topics
I actually have a career so there are many hours throughout the day that i won't post so when I do access ATRL in the evening I catch up and multi quote. Is that the best you have?
I didn't state lies and if I did you would be quick to try and blast me considering you have responded back to so many people trying to educate them with your "information" I can't assume everyone has achieved a certain education but do you understand context. I stated Derulo because they were trying to turn him into the new Chris Brown. He was non-threathening circa Brown before the beating and he sang and danced and had successful pop/urban hits. He was on a roll and then Chris brown came back with FAME and Derulo was dismissed. Kind of sad because he had potential. Your analogy makes no sense and telling me to have a seat yet refusing to answer questions or call out these "supposed lies" yet you comment...never hurts to take your own advice.

Usher, he's at the stage were album sales aren't a big deal. Plus that ghetto custody hearing didn't help.
Chris has no excuse. He hasn't evolved as an artist since his second album. He has persistently digivolved into a more basic, auto-tune artist and his fans are hoping no one else notices. Well. I did.

Excuses. The Usher thing is true but the marriage to that tazmanian devil. LOL. Of course you notice. Didn't we cover this already? LOL.

Inflated numbers? As soon as you get a Nielsen SoundScan account/report then get back to me. You just said Trey Songz was selling more than Chris..... have a seat. Chris can't sell a million singles? Here's "Fortune"'s main single sales alone.
"Turn Up the Music" (1,080,000)
"Don't Wake Me Up" (1,217,460)
Aside from "Fortune"'s singles, "Look at Me Now" is fast approaching the 4,000,000 mark. But anyway..... inflated numbers. I'm not sure if you can count but...... he clearly sells singles.
|
Clock. It's sad because the numbers are easy to find yet people spill their emotions so much that they just react instead of research and investigate.

|
The same way people can sell 5M singles yet barely get over platinum. Your second sentence sounded like a question but ended like a pressed soul that couldn't contain his emotions. You do realize that youtube has a count.

WEll, if this is true then both are still wrong. Frank is still not mature for being silly and Chris is not mature for handling it as if he doesn't have other problems to worry about.

Which is not good at all. Frank is getting this buzz and hype for one reason. That said, he's already showing questionable behavior and IF he does elevate which I don't think he will but if he elevates to a mega stardom in his career my bet is that he won't be able to stay centered and end up a stereotypical r&b hot mess unsung story. I saw his youtubes before he got well known and always thought he was a bit childish. When you are like he is but also talented it's a recipe for disaster because people will allow him to act any kind of way because of his talent. I see this coming a mile away with Ocean in the future. Just like I see the inevitable in brown's future.
That mugshot is coming sooner or later. I called it in 2011 with that window incident.

True but alot of people fight over dumb things. This is just one example. It's sad that most fights are over relationships that weren't solid to begin with.

I don't like to comment on these TMZ/tabloid gossip bits, but when it comes to Chris, I honestly just have to say something. How many times he will act out before he gets real help? Defending him is inexcusable. Now, I also think Frank Ocean is a huge troublemaker, but Chris is at fault here too. He has acted out so many times and he only paints himself as the victim. He clearly has emotional issues and addiction issues that were not properly sorted out post-the horrific 2009 incident. I say this not as a hater, but I honestly feel bad for him. This is why I no longer support him and his career. Hollywood has really been terrible for him. I feel bad for him, but then again he is responsible for himself at the end of the day.
Please go to rehab. Use the talent you've been given positively.
|
Both are troublemaking fools it's just one is in NO position to add more insult to injury and the other is in front of it and will soon be behind the 8 ball in a few years.

Channel Orange sold WAY more than Fortune. and got more nomination. And I bet Frank label spent way less than Jive/RCA did for Chris'.
Chris derserved the spot huh.... I guess Rih Rih deserved that slap ... I guess that girl deserved her phone stolen. I guess GMA deserved to have a broken window. Do you smell what the rock is cooking?
|
50k more is way more. Even after the grammy boost it will take time to sell 1M and this will most likely be Ocean's peak in his career. Hm, the logic of comparing what a label spent on a new artist versus one that has like 4/5 albums out. Ok, that's smart.
Haha. Oh, I forgot about the phone incident. A mess. Serving me 00s realness with the rock quotes.
Only in ATRL can a guy like Charlie Sheen pull a knife on his wife have domestic abuses cases and substance abuse issues to where people are having fun with his "winning!" tag line but crucify Chris Brown. The problem when targeting someone is that the message gets lost because if anyone here was talking about being tired of celebrities getting away with murder and citing examples then I would understand the frustration. No, people come in with there anger based on reports and then want to bring up other things like album sales and then get clocked when someone brings the accurate information. This so messy.

Ok, honestly with all this, the video, the TMZ reports, I don't know who started punching. If Chris did it, it's something very impulsive and bad, but you don't "lock him up" for that. He just needs some anger management classes or something.
Of course, you don't punch people because they're assholes and clearly Frank Ocean was the asshole of the situation. Acting like a f****** diva because of what? A parking lot? A Grammy nomination? And clearly the Grammys went all over his head because he tweeted about it just after the incident.
Learn some humility dude.
Really, but I will still listen to his album because maybe he acts like that because he's gay and needs to boost his self-esteem, but if it's not good, I won't doubt shading him everytime I have the chance like I do with Drake, other idiot who thinks he can treat people like s*** and get away with it.
Honestly, I side with Chris, about his talent, I think he needs a new direction in music and honestly, I haven't ended listening 'Fortune'. Also, he has hit my Rih, and for a long time I hated the guy for that but now I just think he seriously needs help. He simply doesn't seem like a bad person at heart, he's just really messed up. I think Rihanna is such a good person and has a big heart to support him even if he's been a jerk to her but I understand it.
I honestly hope Chris gets the help he seriously needs and Frank Ocean can take a hike, honestly.

Yes, Ocean better get that boost so that he can almost scan a million and have that most likely be the peak of his career. YASS, his stans better brag.
