I guess madonna is finally over. Rebel Heart probably signals the end of Madonna from an album and singles sales perspective. She can still tour though.
AND it's only his second REAL album and it's gonna give him another #1 album. And I don't get why people are comparing his sales to Drake's. Drake came out before Kendrick, has a bigger audience and is more pop oriented than Kendrick. Compare his sales to people like Wale or Wiz Khalifa and you'll see a huge difference. Kendrick is still a relatively new artist and is still building a fanbase, which getting bigger every year. I guarantee by his next album he'll be doing Gold first week like Drake.
You're right about everything. People are acting like he's some kind of established rapper with a huge fan base like Drake. He did great on his first week.

Swift will get a small boost for 1989 by making an "appearance" at the I-Heart Music Awards Sunday night. She would get a few extra copies before midnight, and a bigger boost next week. I don't know how much of a boost to expect though. It should put her back in the Top 2 or 3 though.
Re: Madonna, it makes sense. Remember, album sales are usually a reaction to the artist's last album, not their current one. To Pimp a Butterfly is riding off of the love for GKMC, Born This Way rode off of TFM, etc. With MDNA's lukewarm reception, this is expected that no one is checking for Rebel Heart, regardless of if it's better or not.
