Hopefully once the Artpop era ends Gaga will take a complete 1yr break at least. She sounds really sad and depressed. Just give your fans the DWUW video, release the 3rd single/video after that and call this era a wrap.

Oh my god, she almost had me. 
It's whatever to me though. I've always cared less about who is the "blame" for all the rocky roads she has traveled over the years. ARTPOP was the first album by her I bought and I wish her the absolute best + I hope she keeps trying with this era because Gypsy deserves something. If everything had gone correctly and not ended up like this, G.U.Y. and even possibly Sexxx Dreams deserved to get single treatment.
I'm sure this topic has been talked about nonstop in the album thread, but this is all just fate to me, mixed with some karma. It's far from the end of the road for her, however. She'll jump back somehow.

Glad you posted this.
A true artist defends their work and their decisions. Period. At one point and time, she believed in what she was doing and she stood by the action. She put her name on it, she endorsed it, she promoted it, she made the public believe that she was invested in it. Just because you regret it in the future does not mean that it wasn't exactly what you wanted in the past.
She can say that it didn't pan out how she originally wanted. That's fine. But beware that in all these little rants she hasn't taken ANY responsibility for what has happened so far and is taking every opportunity to blame her manager. I refuse to believe she was a mindless puppet. Her manager could only sway her opinion, not force her to change her mind. She already said it wasn't Interscope either - she's heavily implying at every opportunity that it was her manager's fault for all of this. She rants constantly about "it's all real! This is all me!" but then when something isn't going as well as she originally intended, it's because someone else interfered.
She had the authority to go on a media blackout for months. She had the authority to remove her manager from the picture (and anyone else bugging her). But somehow, she was completely powerless to ask for an itty bitty extension TWICE around the filming of Applause and then suddenly again around the time of Do What U Want? Right when she also mentions that she has had visions for this album for 2 years that "couldn't come to fruition" because her "creativity wasn't honored"?
Sounds like she's just crumbling under the pressure and is feeling a bit insecure about her past decisions. It's a normal human reaction but she really shouldn't (publicly) make a former employee a scapegoat. I really couldn't handle that level of stress, I wish her all the best.

I mean I was already onto her playing the victim but she's clearly just resorted to blaming others for her own failures
I hope she turns it around but she's sort of flailing helplessly right now and I can't bring myself to feel bad for her at all

i'm not trying to defend her, but maybe she meant one week planning for the actual shooting (place, time, faculties...) and editing, but the other steps, such as choosing directors, theme, release date... took weeks
