We all know Bey can do R&B/hip-hop/pop, so I needn't provide examples of those. however we haven't heard much rock pop from here. we got a taste of it with if I were a boy, but id like to hear a little bit more of this style with songs that are more...uptempo and/or have more sass. not real uptempo, but more uptempo than if i were a boy. like the examples i gave.

Of course she can do these types of songs. We also know she can just about do any genre.

She rocked out to Alanis YOK and Prince medley.
Covered Sarah's AOTA.
She did Country with Sugarland.
She can scat.
She can do burlesque type tunes like "Fever".
Gospel with DC.
Dance with the DC mixes.
A little Reggae with RTA remix that she performed before.

It doesn't hurt to experiment. But then again, I don't think Beyonce's collabos with other singers are that great. "Telephone" was hot, but "Video Phone" was terrible. "Put It In A Love Song" was a hit and miss on certain parts. I find her collabos with Stevie and Luther to be incredibly bland and pale in comparison to the originals.

Yea, I'm sure Beyonce would try to stray from their signature sound, but it would just make a lot more sense to work with someone different to create a different sound than it would be to work with the same people everyone else is and try to create a different sound.

Janelle doesn't need a signature style for her music. She makes all sides of the spectrum sound like one with her theme.

Her sig style is her uniform and hairstyle, haha.

Chris Brown's songwriting is actually rather impressive. I don't think his writing would mix well with Beyonce specifically, but if she is willing to record something he writes then she should go at it.
