I understand people do not like to talk about it because it is uncomfortable, but let's not forget MTV is the same station who wanted NO BLACK ARTIST on their channel until they were forced too because the love for Michael Jackson was too strong. That was only a few decades ago, you don't think the same racist execs a Viacom aren't the same people still up there from back in the 80s when they didn't want black artist on their networks to begin with? BS!
If Miley Cyrus made Anaconda, it would of got a nomination just like she did with We Can't Stop for doing what? TWERKING. Stuff black artist had been doing well before her and receiving no hype for it. Once a skinny white girl does it, it's all a sudden assimilated into white America and MTV glorifies it.

What?
First of all, Beyonce is not a good example of a poor, underprivileged overlooked black artist
Second of all, Beyonce still won Video of the Year for Single Ladies
Third: Beyonce has beaten white girls plenty of times. She beat Britney Spears at her freaking peak (Toxic Video) with one of her most throwaway songs and videos (Naughty Girl)
So let's cool it with the racism finger.
