This lesson was learned after Mannequin. It sounded better than Toxic in that rehearsal video. Her voice sounded clear, for some reason The production sounded fresh. The chorus sounded catchy AF. I fell IN LOVE with the song instantly. And when the album came out, that song was the most disappointing thing that has ever happened to me, Britney-wise.

I agree that the original mannequin owned souls and was fresh and clear and I was disappointed at the watered down version. I wouldn't go further than that though.
