part of me i can kind of understand by why wide awake? it's one of her biggest hits. it was only not #1 because it was blocked by call me maybe. a hot n cold tea. firework, california gurls and wide awake are the trinity of hits from the TD era in terms of success. e.t. was at the time but is largely forgotten now, and LFN was overlooked during its run but has great video streams now.

but back to it, why would u expect a 'flop' to have better recurrent views than a #1 lead and a #2 second single?

California Gurls is also the "Up Next" for This Is How We Do (at least for me). That seems to have a big impact on things. Rihanna's "Shut Up And Drive" views have SOARED recently because it was placed after one of Rihanna's biggest hits in the "up next" field, I believe.

I wonder if these celebrities ever just get sick of partying?
