Receipts? I ask because I personally have never seen Kyuhyun display impressive vocals.

You guys should really know better than to try me on vocals by now.
Here's one of his best vocal performances.
Near-perfect resonance in all registers. I've not seen another male idol do that, ever, live, and I make it my business to know if they have. He's not a perfect singer, but he has the most developed chest voice of any male idol, the best placement, the strongest breath support, the most consistent intonation, the best-trained vibrato, the most agile voice. He doesn't have much of a head voice, and occasionally struggles with pitch on long, higher belts, but he's better than everybody else. In this performance he jumps up to high belts very quickly a few times and they sound a bit wobbly, but are still comfortably within range. Even in the end, when he rises to that C#, still reasonably comfortable with very noticeable and smooth mixing even out of the tessitura.
Comparable performers would be...like...nobody. The closest might be Junsu from JYJ, maybe. But he's inconsistent. Sandeul from B1A4 has his moments. Daehyun from B.A.P. has potential. Baekhyun could go far and so could Chen.
Potentially, I think the only person who could match Kyuhyun would be Jonghyun solely based on natural ability. As of now he's nowhere close and would require intensive vocal training to get there, but he could do it. Kind of like how Suzy could be one of the best female vocalists if anyone bothered to stick her in a classical vocalization class for like a decade.

Seriously Blueberry sis, I'm not trying you. I genuinely have never heard Kyuhyun display anything that amazing so I was asking for an example.
Imo he still doesn't sound particularly impressive. His technique may be flawless but that doesn't make him a great singer in the grand scheme, his voice is so un-extraordinary and personally I'm not a fan of how his voice sounds when he goes slightly deep (his singing most of the time).
It's more of a personal thing but I really don't think he sounds that good, regardless of how well he executes notes. It's a fundamental thing and not something that can be changed.

Eh, I understand where you're coming from, but analyzing vocals isn't a matter of personal taste. It's entirely objective. Singing is an art form but also a science, so when you're looking at who "the best" is, you have to disregard tone.
Like, I adore Jonghyun's tone, I think he has one of the best voices I've ever heard, but I know he's not a great singer. Likewise, I don't really like Junsu's voice but I know that he's one of the best male vocalists. Though no idol is truly incredible, honestly. There are plenty of great vocalists in k-pop, but no excellent ones.
Blueberry sis, since you're on the topic of vocal analysis again, I heard people who claim to be experts say that Kyuhyun and Ryeowook have two of the best technical voices in K-pop. Is that true?

Oh I know, and that's why I'm usually pretty uptight about when I use the word "best", that's why I never used it to describe Kyuhyun in an anti-sense.
Jesus christ, her belts around the 2:53 mark, incredible.

Kyuhyun does, though he still pales in comparison to anyone who knows how to really really sing (see the above Vimeo link). Ryeowook is good, but a step down from Kyuhyun.

That's good to hear, you won't believe how defensive/offensive people get about vocals without understanding a word of what they're talking about. I once had a girl try and convince me that Bom was one of the greatest female vocalists of all time.

Tell me about it. She's freaking incredible.
Mess. I mean Bom can (kind of) belt but that's about it, it's pretty much all YG uses her for anyway.
But like how do I find more.
Is there a studio recording of Fate? I can only find the live version on iTunes.
I just saw that apparently Ailee is the best female idol vocalist in Korea, is that true?
I only know Singing Got Better so is there anything else I can listen to where she sounds that good?

I've been trying to find studio recordings of her stuff for a while. She's actually a Christian crossover singer, so she's only done a handful of pop songs. She has some OSTs though, if you dig around. I know she has one from Iris II.
Oh and also there's this.
And on the topic of Ailee, she is, as of now, the greatest female idol vocalist. As far as I know. There are a lot of great female vocalists in k-pop, way more than males, like Lee Haeri, Yeonji, Hyorin, though I have problems with her, and Lina from The Grace (I think that's who I'm thinking of?) but Ailee is the best.
Some of her other really great vocal performances:
kpopvocalanalysis is pretty good, I use it sometimes as a reference. They're not 100% though, specifically on Jonghyun, Chen, Taeyeon, and Hyorin who are not entirely as good as they say. And Luna, who is better. Sometimes.
That site seems to be unnecessarily harsh trying to come across as an expert on this.
They overrated Taeyeon quite a bit, she hasn't made many improvements with her vocals lately. And they also did Jessica wrong. They said her runs were "sloppy", but her "livin' it like a star" run on The Boys is not easy to do, Seohyun struggled and couldn't pull it off when she covered the part. Also on the Genie demo, Jessica's ad-libs are really clear and complement the melody.
I agree they also underrated Luna a lot imo. She's good and has a really stable live vocal.
Good lord, that Hey, Hui performance was amazing. Her opening oh, hui's were
The Let It Go performance was always a kii though.
I wish Ailee had some more recent ballads under her belt, when I get in ballad moods like I am right now she really hits the spot. I'm seriously lacking in terms of k-ballads though, I'm stuck with mostly idol group ones.
Sohyang is great though I don't like her upper register that much.
And Ailee yes. Her "Greatest Love of All" performance on Sketchbook is the best version besides Whitney TBH.
Anyways in terms of male singers, even though he isn't an idol, but produces them, Yoo Young Jin. His placement and the amount of resonance in his voice is amazing.
