I think there is good reason to be concerned.
Blackout debuted with something like 269,000, and that was 4 years ago when sales were considerably stronger. Femme Fatale is in danger of doing that in the modern climate, which might suggest something south of 200,000 copies in the US, which I would hardly say is "fine" for an artist like her.
On top of that, this album, while being my favorite from her, is sticking to a formula that has not been so successful in the past for female artists. This is a very electronic album, one that I would compare to both
Blackout and all of Robyn's albums. None of these albums has seen great commercial success or extremely successful singles. I've been trying to figure out why for a long time, and I think it has something with the mainstream not wanting to hear music so overtly electronic that isn't from a male auto-tuning his voice like Will.I.am.
Just pointing out that there is definitely reason to be concerned, but hopefully her fanbase will carry her through the first week.
