I don't want to get too excited about Britney's Metacritic score just yet. They only have 3 listed, and I'm just waiting for Slant's hypercritical kindred-spirit magazine friends to submit their intentionally low-balled scores.
Sidenote: I'm so happy to see Summer Heights High gifs taking over ATRL. I hope you guys will do yourselves a huge favor and actually watch the series.

Why if there's so much Brit on the French iTunes is her actual single so low?
After listening to I Wanna Go twentysomething times, I think if the pre-chorus was tweaked a bit I'd like it better: using the first/second version of the first halves with the third version of the second halves – i.e. shame on MEEEE (shame on me) to need relEEEEASE (to need release) uncontrollaBLLLLY (uncontrollably, ably, ably). The repeat is just in such a sexy whisper and you can still hear the cool whistle effect underneath it. I also like the fifth iteration of the chorus the best; since the chorus is repeated each time, day-ay-ay & way-ay-ay is just a bit too much repetition for me and I prefer the daaaay/waaaay. This might make my argument about the pre-chorus seem odd, but that’s in the context of one line sung 3 times, vs. a four-line chorus sung 6 times.
I still think the best way to fix Till the World Ends would be to cull out some of the whoa oh oh oh oh oh oh oh oh’s. And possibly have the title verse appear before the last third or so of the song, which could add back some seconds.

I was hoping for an Alto/Acoustic version of III Wanna Go. Near the end, around the bridge, you can hear that she is singing the alto part as background vocals to the chorus... i wish i had the stems.
The success of a Britney song rests almost entirely on the quality of other people's songwriting and production, and almost every track on Femme Fatale succeeds or fails on that basis. Longtime collaborator Max Martin and his partner in auricle-crime, Dr. Luke, produced the bulk of Femme Fatale, and their contributions are mixed-to-shoddy.
