It's a joke for real. Before the release she was on blackout. And Applause is hardly a smash. It limped into the 3-8 peaks for most Europeans markets in the first week.

Oh well. Rihanna probably can't/wont attend anyway. And we can concentrate efforts on Best Song

When I watched the VMAs I realised how rigged award shows are. There are only there to promote artists or to launch something. Since Rihanna doesn't have an album out this year she won't win anything.
