There are a few of our black high school classmates who are doing well for themselves. The ones that have some form of higher education and/or a career happen to come from a middle to high class family such as myself and her. The others aren't doing anything... never let home, working an everyday 9-5, or military. Our white classmates (some didn't graduate college) have small businesses or hold prominent positions in some type of office despite the fact that a lot of the black people have worked twice as hard or are more educated. They have to do less and are rewarded for it because they have resources and know people.

This is pretty similar to some of the people I know.

Out of HS, almost all the white kids I knew got a office job or great internship (mostly through a family connect) or are even modeling while still going to college (and they still having the option to just drop out and live comfortably).
The middle class black kids are also doing ok but it's through the fact they're attending good schools not really through who they know or their family having tons of money to throw around. They just were led on a good path by their parents, friends and what not, to go and pursue education.
The rest of the minority kids are like working 9 to 5 and even two jobs, trying to take college classes, paying rent and just struggling a bit

. And that's just the ones who still have some motivation. The rest are complete potheads, have multiple kids already (i'm only 20 so that's like 2 years and they have like 2 kids post-HS

), living off food stamps, working minimum wage, section 8, or just leeching off their parents completely still but don't have any way to support themselves. So it's rough lol.
