Kelly said in this interview that they talked to the Idol people when she was gonna do the Voice. So I guess we can rest easy that they aren't mad at her. lol

Yeah I never got the impression that the Idol people were mad at her. I think some people forget that Simon Fuller, the creator of Idol, still works with Kelly at the label. I forgot who it was from Idol that said it was a compliment to Idol and it proves that they can create real artists. That has been Idol's whole pitch this season. They even had a commercial that highlighted their stars, how many #1's, oscars, and Grammy's they've won, lol.
Also, in the Q Studio interview she did mention that she'll probably be on Idol this season to promote the next single! Going off of Idol's running slogan of "our show creates real stars" they will most definitely have Kelly on at some point. And I want some kind of 10-year in the business tribute
You know, I definitely agree with the fact that her voice has changed tremendously over the past 10 years. Like you said, during Thankful, it was much clearer and purer, and over the years it has become raspier and mature-sounding. Tbh, I REALLY miss her old voice because singing with this rasp has definitely reduced the vibrato in her voice and it was so pure back then, just stunningly beautiful.
That's why I love when she covers her older songs because she's used to singing them a certain way, so we see glimpses of that voice every once in a while. Also, it sounds more strained when she sings these days, I guess all the belting has started to take its toll. I just hope these changes are natural and Kelly isn't hurting her voice in any way. Finally, I LOVED the growls she used to do, they were so sexy to me (the one in her Natural Woman performance after the whistle note sticks out... no pun intended.)
Ik I loved her voice the most during Breakaway. (I still love her voice now too though, obviously.) She could still go really high like on the first "anymore" in BTHE. But she could go sooo low too. Like on YFM or IHMFLY. And it sounded so amazing to me.
Yay. Now it seems like DS might actually get some decent promo.

OH MY GOD!!
That will also be the time that they are going to have a Kelly Clarkson theme night and she performs her next single on the judgment night. I'm here for this.

Kelly Clarkson, Stronger (17,000 weekly, -16%, 633,000 total) (#24 Billboard 200)
Kelly Clarkson, Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) (196,000, -18%, 1.929 million)
Kelly Clarkson, Mr. Know It All (20,000, -27%, 1.347 million)
Jason Aldean/Kelly Clarkson, Don't You Wanna Stay (9,000, -32%, 1.978 million)
She mentions it around 5:37. She said "new single" so I'm assuming that would be Dark Side
The whole interview has a lot of good stuff in it. Here's the first part of this interview if you wanna hear the whole thing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=R-OwEgfgLdU

Stronger is slowing down a little. Still should double MKIA sales by the end of it's run
Dark Side needs to be released beginning of April.
I think early/mid April will be perfect. Dark Side probably won't just rocket up the charts like Stronger did, so hopefully it will rise into the top 10 as Stronger starts to leave.
I think beginning of April is too early for Dark Side. Stronger has only just left the top spot, I think it has a good 2-3 more weeks in the top 10. I'd say end of April onwards >
I've decided guys, i'm officially team Let Me Down instead of I Forgive You for a single after Dark Side.
Yes but the album has fallen to #24 on Billboard and WDKY is underperforming in most international markets.

I'm still not sure what I will do. Let Me Down is epic, but so is I Forgive You. Both would be great singles.
