This has the potential to be a classic, if you like 90s music then you'd love this album. It doesn't sound dated because the production is still quite contemporary but the 90s influences lift the tracks a lot.
Something just hit me. Has anybody tried listening to/or viewing the album in REVERSE order? It would make an alternate story with the spoken introduction first and then ending with Cry. with a period.
The only problem with any of this album was the fact she put on Its a Wrap and Betcha Gon Know on the deluxe..
I mean i love the tracks and im glad we finally got to hear them.. but i would of preferred some tracks actually recored for this album!
Other than that this is CLASSIC Mariah, CLASSIC music. and Shes on top form.. Without a doubt her most consistent, catchy, and focused since TEOM.
I agree!
You know she has TONS of music recorded from this albums sessions, I mean she did quite a few songs with Dream... Could she not have added Hope Street or Fire?
I love Money, but I don't think it'd do well on mainstream radio. Fabolous is more present on the track than MC really. And the lyrics aren't really super accessible But it's definitely one of my faves and maybe would make a good urban single late in the album's life.
