It's been in development heck for a while now and the director said they don't know what's going on. A sequel probably won't happen now. Also, with films such as The Purge and You're Next, we don't really need a sequel.

Just watched the original Evil Dead, I love it.
The ending was a bit messy when he burned the book.
And the tree rape scene is so much better in the original.

OH MY GOD! This movie scared the crap out of me. The same night I watched it this old man came to my front door and started banging it asking for some girls called Emma and talking about some party. I immediately grab a rolling pin just in case he tried something.

Agreed, The ABC's of Death was utter garbage. So many talented directors (including Ti West, whom I love) submitted some garbage to this.

As for Texas Chainsaw 3D, I actually didn't mind the campy/almost 80's style they went for and I loved the story, but honestly when she handed him the chainsaw and said "do your thing, cuz" I just about died. Probably the worst written line in a theatrically released horror movie in a long time.

Someone mentioned Wrong Turn 2, and it's actually really good for a DTDVD sequel!
