Wayne has been praising Ke$h more lately.

From a profile about the recent activity of the Flaming Lips in American Songwriter:

For one collaborator though, it was just that. Ke$ha called Coyne on his birthday and invited the band to her house in Nashville, Tenn., to record some songs.

“She is just crazy,” Coyne said. “She has a tattoo gun, and within 30 minutes she gave me a tattoo on my toe.”

The Lips ended up recording songs with Ke$ha into the night and more the next day.
Coyne said he is a big fan of Ke$ha.

“She’s crazy in the best way: she’s creative, she’s funny, she’s intense, she has a lot of energy,” Coyne said.

A great MTV article in which Wayne talks about the K$-WC sessions. I may thread this tomorrow, he always says such nice things about her.

Mildly newsy bit:

But will fans get to hear even more of the Flaming Lips/Ke$ha team-up? Well, Coyne certainly hopes so.

"We really loved making this music together — I think I've probably done six or seven songs with her — and I know a lot of her fans like ['2012'], but I don't know if we'll put more songs out there," he said. "She has other agendas besides doing music with Wayne, you know, but I hope so, because I think it's really great, crazy, unexpected music. And she, to her credit, loves what we do. She wants it to be whatever. She has no limits of what she wants it to be."

So I guess we shouldn't expect Wayne songs on Warrior, or at most one.

But actually, I've accepted the likelihood that You Control My Heart will not make the album now, especially since it doesn't sound like what I would imagine **** pop would sound like. If she has to sacrifice YCMH for the sake of the album's cohesiveness, it's unfortunate, but so be it.

I trust it will leak soon enough.

The snippet of it we have is my most played K$ song though, so I still really want it asap.

i mean.. GOOD music videos.. GOOD PROMO , good performances.. good photoshots , good looks , etc

This doesn't surprise me, only adds to the superstition that RCA don't like the music they've been producing together. However i hope one day they make a full collab LP/EP and release all there songs they did together

Agreed. She needs all of those working together.

I feel like a big difference between Ke$h/P!nk and GaKaRiBriBey is that the general (American) public greatly cares about GaKaRiBriBey beyond their music. Like, their personal life and opinions on things, etc. Ke$h is lacking that star status, and I dunno quite how she can build that. P!nk has all the things you listed, but she's still not on GaKaRiBriBey level in America. K$ needs something this era that elevates her to that mega star status.

I don't actually think they spent that much time recording, i think it was over 2 different periods each ranging from a few days each, however its worse off for Wayne because he spent months working on the songs
