Marina and the Diamonds Performs on The X Factor
After her wonderful performance on Saturday Night Live this last Saturday, singers Marina and the Diamonds has performed on The X Factor earlier tonight. Prior to her performance, there was heavy promotion all over the set for her singles "Holy Woman" and "Needles and Pins" along with her debut EP (That just released today), 'Shallow & Alone - EP'.
The set she performed on included a giant statue of a woman (possibly herself) in an Ancient Greek style; there was a small fountain at the base of the statue and a set of stairs, surrounded by rose bushes, leading down onto the main stage of the set.
Marina appeared at the top of the stairs, standing in the ankle-deep water wearing a semi-translucent white dress that wrapped around her body loosely; it was flowing, moving heavily with her every move. It resembled Ancient Greece, yet also showed signs of modernization.
Her performance included the following songs:
1. The song "Bleeding Out"
2. The single "Holy Woman"
3. A completely-unheard song "The Last Time"
4. And finally, the single "Needles and Pins (I'm Not Alright)"
After the performance, banners and animated clips with the covers of her two singles and EP were still on display all over the show's main set.
